There are also lots of rumours a few months ago that this was canceled as Apple wants to move away from the small form factor.
Steve Jobs would be turning in his grave to hear that. He said any phone bigger than 3.5" is bad, because that's as far as your thumb can reach. He also thought Styluses are a terrible idea.
You don't see many iPhone owners rocking something this size anymore though. Even though it was the biggest size available when he was still alive, and everyone was using one happily.

Keep in mind it's the same generation as the iPhone 6s, 32 GB 6s version still sells for about $430
Also, this is 128 GB which has much faster NAND speeds
