  • I see the button but there’s no information about it

  • How do you exactly get the free apple music on Shazam App?

    • I have worked it out but when I try to post it the comment becomes unpublished - Have just asked the mods to publish the comment which has step by steps details :)

    • Download the Shazam App
    • Click the settings/cog Icon in the top left side
    • Click Apple Music Connect button
    • The the offer should appear and follow the prompts

Worth a note that I have used Apple Music before (Currently unsubscribed) but once the code was added to my Apple Music account It only gave me 1 month not 4 months advertised on the Shazam App.

  • My Shazam app is not connected to Facebook or Apple Music. It's available within the app in the Recent Shazams area. Just popped up when reviewing.

Can confirm that previous subscribers can get 1 month free via this method.

  • I’ve never used Apple Music before and mine says 3 Months

I have Shazam Encore; if that makes a difference.

    • Mine says I am on "3 months free", but expiry date is end Sep, so 4 months.

  • I have Shazam Encore, current apple music subscriber (Thanks to TA/CR) - when I clicked through on the app, it complained I was already a subscriber, so no extension of existing subs.

edit: My Shazam encore only offered 3 months…

Previously signed up to free Apple Music. I just got 1 month free using Shazam Encore.

    Thanks. Catches:

    • you have to lie and say you read the 18-page agreement.

    • auto-subscribes at $12/month after the free trial.

Can you cancel now and still get the 4 months? (like google, spotify, netflix, etc)

    • +1

      Yes, you can.

    • You can't cancel Apple music subscription. If you do, it ends it immediately 😕

      • too late! I already cancelled. And it did not :-)

        Policy must have changed.

  • Didn’t work at all

  • Didn't work and I got charged 😓

  • I'm a current subscriber, so I unsubscribed in order to see if I could get the 4 months. In my recent Shazams, it has the promo advertisement for 4 months free, but when I click on it, it just connects my shazam and apple music accounts together. I guess that's because when you cancel apple music, you are able to use it until the end of the month that you've already paid for. Not sure of a way around this except perhaps letting the apple music subscription expire totally and then trying this again.

    • An update on this. My subscription was due to expire on 6 June, so I just made sure I turned off auto-renew. Once the subscription had expired, I got back onto Shazam and followed the steps above to connect shazam to apple music. The app offered 4 months free, so I followed the prompts. In the end, apple gave me 1 month free and put me back on the auto-renew subscription.

      Basically, a $11.99 saving.

All playlists and songs are still organised the way they were. They're just now stored in the cloud rather than being stored locally, but I can easily redownload them if need be.
