Not really going to argue weather or not it's a deal, but most laptops that take DDR4 would likely have 8GB already (1x8 or 2x4).
Very very few would have a use scenario for this.
Just commenting because i find it odd.
8GB modules are Able to be purchased for well under $80 delivered, i'd be going that way.

even on DDR3 it's not that great. I got an 8GB for $50 a while ago to replace my 4GB, many laptops only have one slot to plug aother RAM if both not soldered.
      Go Jerry, go … bust

    • I bought one from this deal, it only has a 4GB module .

  • I think I would still pay $155 (normal price) for the equivalent Crucial 16 GB version - the ADATA one is $144.

  • why would anyone wanna a 4gb ddr4

    • if a laptop came with 8, a bank of 4 takes it to 12, and 12gb is enough for everyone unless you are doing serious number crunching or video editing etc. but yes if you feel like you need amount of ram suitable for a server, go for 16gb planks if spending feels justified :)
