  • Excuse for my naive question! Is this one suitable for PC or Laptop?

    • this is good for pc, but some laptop might have room for it too, check your model to see if it fits 3.5inch ssd

      • +4

        You mean 2.5 inch SSD.

Check also that the height of the SSD fits inside. I think this is 7mm high, so it should fit most laptop.

    • +2

Both, provided you have a SATA slot

Slightly cheaper at Shopping Express $210 10+15% off add $14.95 delivery = $175.60

    • +4

Even cheaper tomorrow at Budget PC $205 20% off + $10 delivery = $174 (assuming no price jacking)

      • Oh well they jack up the price to $220!

    • Funny…their shipping comes up as $50 for me. Only to Canberra. Asked them about it and they're getting back to me…$50 to ship a solid state drive?

Even $14.95 seems a little high.

Shame…if it were free shipping to boot that would get it down to ~$320. I told myself I'd wait until I could get a pair at around $300 for my ageing Mac Mini. Wireless1 offer is still decent though. and I've had good dealings with them…tempting.

      • Odd, shows $14.95 standard/$50 express. May as well wait for tomorrow to get at $174 from BudgetPC

        • It only gives me the express option, so I guess that's why.

Must be a gold plated express service.

Edit: May be something to do with eBay's shipping destination classifications…not sure. Seems that when I look at these things, I'm told I live in Regional NSW, not ACT.

its down to $199 plus discounts now, worked out to AU $167.18 delivered cheers

Was wrong to believe that SSD prices would come down in 2019. Price is still same as end of 2018.
Should have utilized better cashback at that time.
Remember deals for 860 EVO at $145. :(

  • Oh boy I'm tempted but want to wait for a cheap 1 or 2tb nvme drive and do away with sata based storage all together.

May keep my 500GB 850 Evo, who knows.

  • This, or the QVO for $150?

    • +3

This. The write endurance for EVO is much higher than QVO

    • After cashback this is only $5 more than the QVO - why would you go with the vastly inferior technology to save $5?

  • Hmm, think it can get any better than this closer to EOFY ?

I'm still trying to get the samsung redemption from the last time this was posted, their damn website doesn't work, keeps giving me an error about the IMEI/Serial Number being invalid! I sent an email to [email protected] 9 days ago and haven't heard anything since then. Time to bug them again

    • +1

The serial number on the pacakging is missing the last character. Take a photo of the actual drive. You will need it for the redemption anyway and the serial bumber is correct there. Still waiting for it to hit my bank account.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/With-Cash-Back-Samsung-860-EVO-5…

This was $250 for 2 , with 15% offer still to come at 10.00pm yesterday ( Total =$212.50)

Now it is $270 for 2, with 20% to come off making it $216.00

So price has actually gone up with 20% offer.

    :(

      Price JACK.
