not sure who would buy it when you get 4 games free with JB for the same price

You're correct. I would highly recommend getting the JB deal, smarter choice.

One thing to note is the JB deal ends on the 22nd of this month. Amazon offer (according to the 'Mid Year Sale') ends on the 30th of June.

I guess anyone that miss out on the JB deal can go with this.

all good @NS24 your intentions were right just wrong timing

Not sure why this is getting upvotes. The games at JB are worth at least $80 based on a very quick Google, and they deliver for a reasonable fee.

This deal is straight up worse.

Thanks for putting me onto the JB deal! - way better.

    • Only reason it could be better is if people have Amazon credit (like me from the 10TB drives)

      Plus the cashrewards.

But agreed, would rather go with the JB deal.

  • With the XBOX Infinity* (subject to change) coming out end of next year the discounts need to be a lot greater than that to attract buyers surely

    • Most normal people don't keep up to date with console industry news. So probably not. People will buy anything with mild discounts.

    • I don't think that's a huge deal, it's a good time away (and even longer til it has exclusive games worth shelling out for) if people want to play right now with their friends.

      • I don't think the next Xbox will even have exclusive games.

Microsoft's strategy these days seems to be closer to the PC way of doing things - same games but a better device gets you better quality.

        • I meant more games that are for the next gen boxes only (or where the older generation runs them horrible like GTA V).

          • @Merlict: That's at least five years away.

          • @Merlict: ? GTAV was the last game I played on PS3 and I was gobsmacked at how good it looked, and it never missed a beat.

    • Looks like they are dumping them all over the place. Discounts and offers with internet providers etc.

      • End of financial year “summer” sales is here
