That's a pretty sweet deal for 32GB RAM of you buy two sets.

    • +1

Could buying two sets cause issues with compatibly, since it's not sold as a set of 4?

      I was thinking about getting 2 x 16GB until I saw this.

Hoping to use for a hackintosh.

As long as you buy the same brand/capacity/clock speed (i.e. buy two identical sets of 2x4GB), there shouldn't be any issues with using two sets together.

When you start getting into larger amounts of RAM (i.e. 512GB RAM) there are issues that can arise if the RAM modules aren't factory calibrated to work together - for normal use though, you would never need to worry about it.

P.S. good luck with the Hackintosh! I got one working a while ago and tried again recently and completely failed to get it to boot properly :p

          DRAM related?

          • @O O: Nah, just forgot how to configure an EFI partition properly.

        • Cheers.

Not sure if this is too detailed of a question, but I'll give it a go. I'm trying to check compatibility of this ram with some motherboards (I haven't picked one yet…)

I can't see this model (BLE2K8G4D32BEEAK) in either of the lists, I listed the only 'BLE' that were in the list. And they had a different timing (16-17-17-36) from this one 15-16-16-35.

          BLE4G4D26AFEA.8FADG

But then PCPartPicker says they are compatible, eg

          • @Gumbootboy: Intel shouldn't have any issues with 3200MHz RAM.

Vendors can't and won't test every kit available on the market, so most kits up to 3600MHz should work without any issues (for 2 sticks).

This is a great comment. "Factory calibration" is bs but the rest is true. It's about compatibility, timing etc, it's a lot easier these days, 20 years ago you had to be a lot more careful. Depending on the motherboard it'll pick the lowest clock speed if you mix and match (which isn't a good idea). When upgrading always use the same rated memory for all sticks. (I work in HPC land, 512cpu/4tb ram in one single image system)

RAM prices going down faster than a Thai hooker.

    • +1

      Believe me, that’s fast

  • Price seems decent for fast RAM

  • How much faster is it than regular ram, say like my 16gb 2400 lpx c16? Would there be any noticeable difference in everyday use?

    • Nope…

    • Maybe 10% fps gain in games, not noticeable in everyday use.

      If you use ryzen maybe

  • Can I use this for Dell Inspiron 5680 ? Thanks !!!

    • I would lean on the safe side and say this is not what you're looking for. Seems most of those inspiron models run 2400/2666mhz ram. You can run CPU-Z on your computer and see what your current setup is using then find similar mhz ram to put into your computer.

      • "8GB DDR4 at 2400MHz"

This is the one used for my pc. Is it possible to replace the existing one with higher mhz rams? Or I should stick with 2400MHz only? In terms of safety (of course) and compatibility.

        Thanks a lot!

        • It’s hard to say because dell are manufactured by them so their board has their limits which may be unpublished. I also don’t know how much of a difference you would experience

          • @sharks: Thank you so much, I will try Crucial scanner tool.

    Finally RAM prices are falling.
    Getting ready for RYZEN upgrade!

  • These are very well spec'ed, and that's a good damn price.

    • FYI, the deal will last as the stock lasts.

  • no more stock

  • Stop posting cheap good ram i hate you. Paid an absurd amount for 2 kits last year…
