I'm not sure of the minimum income requirement.

No stated minimum income, but given the incredible similarity to the Westpac Altitude Platinum card, I'd wager a guess it'd be in the $30-$35k range that it is\was.

In saying that, the Altitude Platinum card from Westpac does give you the same points but for only a $50 Qantas fee (they're waiving the usual $150 annual fee for it), albeit with a $3000 spend in 90 days - see this deal.

Having had the Altitude Visa and this one through BankSA, I'd have to say that Westpac's app and online banking is leagues ahead of St George group's websites\apps, which are clunky to say the least.

Grrr, we had the same reaction

    • @douglasac - I agree but I currently have the Westpac card so need another one to change to.

  • Perhaps the Westpac altitude platinum is a slightly better alternative: https://www.finder.com.au/westpac-altitude-platinum-credit-c…

Everything is the same but the westpac is free first year. Oh and the westpac askes you to spend $3000, a bit more than this.

    • The Westpac card is a better deal but this is just an alternative to people who may already have that card.

      • True, not bad at all!

  • Just before anyone else asks:

"Existing customers who currently hold a Amplify Platinum or Amplify Signature card issued by St.George, Bank of Melbourne or BankSA, or who have held one in the last 12 months, are not eligible for this offer. "

    • So…. if I hold a WESTPAC Amplify Signature / Platinum , that should mean I am eligible for this deal…? (I thought Westpac owned these banks? I may be terribly wrong however haha)

It would be impossible for you to have a Westpac Amplify Signature or Platinum card, as Westpac don't issue Amplify cards.

On the other hand, if you had a Westpac Altitude Black or Platinum card, then you'd be eligible for this deal, as they're not Amplify cards.

Westpac own St. George group, who in turn own BankSA and Bank of Melbourne, however Westpac's ownership of St. George and their shared ATM network is about the extent of their relationship. St. George, BankSA and Bank of Melbourne, however, are largely the same bank, the main differences being the colours and pictures on their websites and cards.

        • Awesome. Thanks for the clarification! Learnt something new :)

  • Did anyone figure out the minimum income for this one?

    • @bidam1- I’m not too sure.

      • most likely 45k or below, as with most Platinum cards.
