Why it's not compatible with X1 Yoga or Carbon?

    • Will it work for Lenovo T480s?

    • Yeah wonder why

      • That is weird because apparently the X1 bios was updated to go right down to 18w. It definitely takes 45w.

    • Hmm, I just bought a L380 Yoga, I wonder if that would work with this charger… maybe not worth the risk

  • Hmm, any reason to get this over the $59 Kogan one which has slightly higher total output (60W + 15W), and an extra QC 3.0 port?

    • The kogan specs are hard to figure. It doesn't seem to do 20V? Seems to be some odd 4x18W which is 72W but maybe somehow it's 75W?

      Output USB 1: QC 3.0 3.6-6V/3A, 6-9V/2A, 9-12V/1.5A, 18W | USB 2/3: 5V/2.4A 12W, 75W Max

The lack of quick charge on the type A ports puts me off this one =(

        I think it's 1x18W + 2x12W for normal USB ports, but max is 75W

        • That's my reading too, one USB-C (PD) at 60W (voltage options unspecified, maybe in the manual?) plus USB-A ports at 1x18 + 2x12, but the total at any time can't exceed 75W.

      • The kogan specs are hard to figure. It doesn't seem to do 20V?

The second photo shows "USB Type-C Power Delivery (PD) 60W". The only way it can hit 60W is by running at 20V 3A.

The lack of quick charge on the type A ports puts me off this one =(

Yeah, for some reason no one else (except Satechi) has QC on the type A ports. I wonder why.

          https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07GGGJKQR/ref=ppx_yo_d…

The USB C is max 60W, the rest of the ports are QC3 with 20W split between them.

          • @lolcoaster: Oh right forgot about that, it looks the same as this old $49 Kogan one and this mBeat.

I was specifically wondering about cheaper $5x chargers. The Kogan unit is the only $5x one that I've seen that has QC on the type A ports.

            • @eug: Yeah, probably from the same factory.

I bought the Satechi a couple of weeks ago as I was looking for something with USB-C PD and USB-A with QC. This was the only one as you mentioned that I could find. I am very happy with the Satechi, the overall build quality is top notch and doesn't have any coil whine.

  • Anyone knows the total capacity? I was looking at Xiaomi Power Bank 3 Pro which has 20K Mah as well.

    • This is a mains charger, not a power bank.

  • Has anyone used this brand Aukey before ? Any reliability issues ?
