One (silly) question: why vegetarian friendly and not vegan friendly?

    • +3

      Bees.

Not silly at all and a good question. Since beeswax is used, it means they are not vegan friendly.

However, there are plant based wax products available that are suitable for Vegans.

        Thank you

  • Great idea but they do seem very expensive.

    • The bee union was threatening a strike, unless they were paid more

    • Reusable, washable, not plastic! Also they stick/wrap around stuff that cling wrap will not work on.

I have similar products at home, pricey yes, preserves fresh stuff also yes.

Only problem is they are not as sticky as they used to after a month or so.

Have you tried placing them on a baking tray in the sun for couple hours? This works quite well to get the stickyness back! Give it a try and see if this works for you. Ours have been going strong for over 6+ months so far and can't recommend them enough..

Good tip, thanks. Ours are still going well after 6 months, but about due for this.
