5931
PRICEWIN

Edit - now live and working on ebay/WISH gift cards!

The deal that I've been waiting for! Based on previous ebay UK sitewide deals, this should work for Paypal gift cards.

Valid from 12:00 PM Friday 14 June 2019 (9pm AEST) to 11:59Pm, Saturday 15 June 2019 (** 16/6 8.59am AEST**).

Minimum spend A$91.79, maximum discount A$183.59. One redemption only!

* eBay gift cards
* Woolworths WISH gift card / WISH Gift Card
* All PayPal digital gift cards. Change the .com.au to .co.uk.

PayPal Digital Gifts eBay is now marked as away and can't process orders.**

All other items - find the item on eBay.com.au and change the .com.au to .co.uk.

10% off also applies for Officeworks, Target and Fantastic Furniture. Postage will need to be paid as there is no C&C option for eBay UK.

10% off for auto parts which are usually excluded from eBay AU sitewide sales.

Note - no GST is charged of the purchased item is from an Australian seller.

How it works -

Option 1:

Find what you want on eBay.com.au then change the URL at the start to eBay.co.uk for easy purchasing.

If above doesn't work then try this.

Option 2:

Considering what happened in the last deal, the country switch doesn't seem to work anymore, so you will most likely have to make a new account at eBay UK to take advantage of this offer.

Add random UK address and use AU mobile to confirm account via SMS, then add AU address as preferred/Primary Delivery Address (postage address) before ordering.

Tip : Use Dummy email by using existing email to register at eBay UK without creating new email id.

Your email: [email protected]
Dummy email : [email protected] ( just try any combination starts with +) This works with Gmail. Haven't tried with other email services so do check before you buy.

You will receive email on your original email id

      Starts 9pm tonight.

      •

Just tried creating a dummy email using the "+ebay1" variation.

Gmail says "Sorry, only letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), and periods (.) are allowed.

        Any workaround?

        • +7 votes

ur doing it wrong. you dont have to create a new email. just add +ebay1 to your existing gmail address and it will make it to ur gmail account.

        • +8 votes

Tell your friend there's no need to create a dummy email. Just add '+ebay1' to your existing email and you'll still receive the mail in your existing mailbox.

          Eg:
          Existing email: [email protected]

Try sending a mail to [email protected] and you'll get it in your existing mailbox.

Use that dummy email to create an eBay account under eBay UK.

          Hope that helps.

          •

            @Easygoingjoe: Amazing thank you!

          •

@Easygoingjoe: So what happens when someone tries to actually make an email called [email protected]
Will they be able to make it or will it be unavailable because its already taken?

            • +4 votes

@OCD Completionist: Are you asking this question for yourself or for a friend?

            • +3 votes

@OCD Completionist: It's not an actual email address. Google just ignore anything after a "+", as well as ignoring any dots "."

So [email protected] is the same as [email protected] and [email protected]

It's been a feature since at least 2008.

            •

@OCD Completionist: it is unavailable because it is already taken

a number of other products and applications also use the same + mechanism to deliver email to one inbox

then run routines and scripts on the emails in the inbox focusing on the content after +.

GMAIL for example you can make rules for emails listed as
              to: [email protected]
move straight to bin as you are unlikely to give that address to friends

            •

@OCD Completionist: You will get this message
"Sorry, only letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), and periods (.) are allowed"
Exactly what askingforafriend's friend got when they tried to create a new email id.

No, can't buy gift cards using gift cards. But gift cards can be stacked with eBay coupons.

          •

@G77: yeah i was not asking about using gift cards to buy gift cards since someone already answered "no" to that question below.

so either paypal gift cards or ebay gifts can be used with ebay voucher codes?
can we use both and the ebay voucher codes?

Also where is the link to buy paypal or ebay giftcards?
and they just send it to our email as a code?

Do you have a loss with currency exchangeto GBP or can be paid AUD ?

    •

I want to know this too plz

      •

I want to know this too. Ebay/PayPal currency exchange rates are crappy

    •

      Can be paid by AUD

    •

No the idea is to buy from the au listing on uk ebay meaning you pay in aud.

      •

But does it result in an international transaction fee. Some cars like CBA and Citibank charge an international fee if the transaction occurs overseas even if it’s in AUD.

        •

No. If you buy $500 of gift cards it will charge you $500 AUD. The entire txn is in AUD

          • +1 vote

@kcbworth: I understand that but CBA and Citibank also charge the international transaction fee if the transaction occurs OS even if the transaction is in AUD.

I have been charged an international fee even though the amount was charged in AUD, because the facility was overseas. This occurred with LEGO on the LEGO Australian store. LEGO use to anyway process their payments for my case in Germany.

            •

@GoldenDragon888: I have bought gift cards on eBay UK via previous deals. No international transaction fee on Paypal/Credit Card. Purchased in AUD, domain was co.uk

              •

@G77: Which card did you use? Did the card already have no international fees?

                • +1 vote

@GoldenDragon888: Was a CBA credit card. The card would normally incur (?3.0% - can't remember sorry) international transaction fee. The transaction went through as normal, didn't pay fee. This was during this deal.

                •

@GoldenDragon888: Your nuying from au not uk…

            •

@GoldenDragon888: if paypal charges you AUD then the bank will receive the payment request in AUD and wouldnt charge you a foreign transaction

              •

@kcbworth: Some banks charge a fee for overseas based transactions even if conducted in AUD. Not sure if Paypal charges AUD transactions from its Australian location or not?

  •

    Nice find mate!

  •

To save any issues with the dummy email idea, create one you can access. In the past, people have had gift cards literally sent into thin air that they couldn't access.

    •

So I can create a unique dummy Gmail account.
Then purchase gift cards and using my Paypal account to pay for the purchase(that is registered to a different Gmail account)
      And it will work?

  •

I hope the green eBay cards do not sell out before I order

You should be safe, the Red ones will go faster ;-p

  •

Can I pay with ebay giftcards to buy woolworth gift cards?

    • +1 vote

No it says "the code can't be applied to some of your items"

  •

I’ve been waiting for this. Thanks OP

  • +1 vote

    Nice find mate 👍🏻
I guess Only 5 cards we can have in one transaction ?

    •

Yes . I just tried adding more no luck :( $1,000 is the max

      •

Thanks… then to gain max benefit :
        Either $200* 5 = $1000 for $900 with code ( max $100 discount)
        Or $250*5 = $1250 for $1125 with code ( max $125 discount )

  • +1 vote

I should have stocked up when it was 15% off

  •

Good find! Was about to spend $1000 on eBay

  •

How many times can we use this and what's the max discount?

    • +1 vote

Once only! 5 cards max, so your best bet would be 5x$200 for $100 discount all in one go

      •

Can we open multiple accounts to get 5 cards each?

Also, what is the maximum amount of cards and/or value that can be used in the one purchasing transaction?

        •

Don't see why multiple accounts won't work. Going to convert your entire bank value into digital?

          •

@Salmando: Looking to buy a Sony A7iii but I don't think I'll be able to buy one entirely with 10% off gift cards. Was the limit 8 cards/$1,500? I can't remember now.

  •

can you like buy a bunch of eBay gift cards at 10% off, and use them right away on something you were gonna buy in the first place?

    • +2 votes

Yes as long as they send you codes on time (usually takes a couple of hours but can take longer)

  •

Registration address, email and phone number

^ UK address and my number, right?

    Primary postage address:

    My address?

    • -1 vote

Primary postage should be a UK address.

Add a shipping address which is your AU shipping address.

      •

Thank you,i think i done it right.

        Primary is UK

        Other is AU

        •

          That’s not what OP said:

then add AU address as preferred/Primary Delivery Addresss

  •

Does this eBay gift cards only work in ebay UK not AU site?

    • +3 votes

The link in the OP is to ebau Australia gift cards (which you just happen to be buying on eBay.co.uk). If you buy these, they will only work on eBay.com.au

      •

        Thank you for explanation.

  •

Another “try our luck” day event. Hopefully ebay hasn’t found the loop hole as yet.

  •

Away from GC is there any max transactions ?

  •

Does this apply to any travel gift cards like Jetstar or qantas?
