Samsung - give Aussies dual SIM!

    • +9

S10 512Gb is dual sim if that helps…

        • +6

          Said no one

        • To neggers. You are all out of touch. Not everyone can afford 512gb version. Dual sim is not even available when bought from carrier.
Why can't Australia get dual sim like every other country. I want an S10e and it seems I have to resort from outside Australia.

Now is that too much to ask?

My point stands. It doed not help to just restrict dual sim to 512gb of s10 and S10+.

That's what Original commenter was implying, give us dual sim.

          • @No ONE: Yes but 3 was trying to help Siu not Australia, and No ONE asked you to jump in harshly!

            • -2

              @BestofOZB: I wasn’t harsh. I said it metaphorically.

trying to help Siu not Australia

              So Aussies =/ Australian =/Australia?

  • Can you combine this with a trade in?

    • The code is already stacking with the $200 off discounts on the s10e and s10 so I don't see why you can't use store credit to pay for the device.

      • +3

Doesn't seem to stack. I did the trade-in and then added the promo code but it didn't affect the price. Went on chat and they confirmed they can't be used together.

        • I spoke to the online chat guy on Friday and was told I could combine. However s10e is not available.

Samsung are currently doing a bonus with up to 530 trade. So I can get 400 for my s8.

Maybe Samsung are trying to get people locked in before Apple bring out a cheaper flagship phone in September?

  • I thought the 15% from mobileciti was good

    • You can disable bixby and use Google assistant or Alexa on the bixby button, you can also flash a rom if the Samsung skin bothers you that much

      • Assigning google assistant and alexa to the bixby button is handy, but c'mon, flashing the rom just to change the skin?

Sorry OP, but to correct you, Galaxy Watch has to be removed from the cart in order to use this voucher on S10+ 1TB - No double dip unfortunately :(

    • Thanks I've edited it in.

    • +2

Really? I just tried it and it worked fine and kept the Galaxy Watch at checkout with the coupon.

Says the watch is $174.50 and the phone is $1744.70.

  • Double post..

  • Is Telstra the only place selling the 5G version?

    • +2

Yes, at the moment the 5g varient is only with Telstra, but Samsung will soon expand it to other carriers I believe

  • -2

Will Officeworks price beat? If so. Price beat plus purchase the phone using the 10% discounted gift cards and then sell you old device = basically loosing money if you don't buy!

    • +1

      I have a headache!!

    • Would Officeworks do a price beat on this deal?

      • -1

I don't see a reason for not matching

    • No, Officeworks or any other retailers won't price beat because you need a discount code to apply to the store to get this price. They'll find any excuse to deny you the price beat, and they'll only price beat ADVERTISED price. The advertised price on this is still the normal price, despite the discount.

    • +1

FYI I just got Good Guys to beat this deal by 5% in store. S10, 128 Black for $873

  • Are the S10 here single or dual Sim models ?

    • Depends on spec, and if you want dual sim you have to get direct from Samsung

  • This is like $4 more than what I meant purchased from ow price matched like last week.. Geez Samsung phone's price really drop fast eh..

  • for those who are after s10e, jump onto ebay good guys store; their 20% discount should be in effect now

    • Well, 10am…

  • Clearing and reducing inventory to make way for Note 10 ?

    • +2

No, End of Financial Year. That means, this month is their last chance to pad their sales numbers so they can keep their fat cat investors happy with unrealistic sales numbers that will then need to be padded even higher again next year, and then even higher again the year after, ad infinitum. Greed knows no end.

      • this toxic cycle applies to housing too. there's needs to be a major default for house bubble to pop. i sincerely hope the whole country goes into GFC and house prices become what their worth compared to other countries. young people CANNOT AFFORD anything while foreign investors steal our money. but australians arent willing just like the fat cat investors.

  • Any ozbargainer know how to bring the price down further ? Don't think cashback work on samsung online

  • I just got it for $873 (S10, 128). Got Good guys to beat this deal by 5% in store!

    • Showing this to GG in store and they'll price match +5% you say?

      • +1

Yep, worked for me. The rep went through the Samsung site on their PC and applied the code.
        Then gasped.
Then said he couldn't do it. I managed to talk him around and he beat it by 5%!

        • Wow… that's pretty lucky!
Pretty sure they are only meant to do it for the advertised price.

    • You got lucky! tried the same thing at GG (Maribyrnong), officeworks and JB and they couldn't do it because it's coupon code not advertised price

      • I ended up buying two S10's - Maybe its staff dependent like JB. I have an invoice if that helps?

      • Can you please share the receipt? Will drop by GG Maribyrnong to negotiate on one so a receipt would really helpful. Thanks.

  • Doesn't seem to apply for the S10+ Ceramic 1tb.

  • My local Good Guys store (Moonah, TAS) unfortunately, wouldn't do the 5% price beat.
Has anyone had any luck with a price match/beat at Officeworks or JB HiFi?

  • JB HiFi Banklstown wouldnt price the offer as per their exclusions clause, even despite explaining this offer was available to the public and all you had to do was goto the samsung booth during VIVID.
