Same vacuum. This is still a decent price even if these deals are pretty common. The post you linked would probably have received more scrutiny for the limited stock if Dyson weren't specifically generous with price matching.

Would this work well with floor boards? The V8 Absolute (no longer being produced) came with a soft roller head which was made for hard floors but unfortunately can’t get these anymore.

the review in the OP has a test for different floor surfaces including floor boards. I assume this is done with the standard head but it doesn't specify. It appears large debris (eg cereal) on floor boards is difficult to pick up with the standard head and this is where the soft roller head would improve the situation. Kitty litter, rice and sugar where no issue on floor boards though.
