  • Cheaper than OzGameShop for everything but Dead or Alive: Dimensions.

  • I though thehut (and zavvi) have had free shipping for a while now?

    • yep they have

  • ummm arent the 3DS games region locked so it wont work for aussie 3DS's?

    • Nintendo, in their infinite Digital Rights Management wisdom, have split the world into three regions. Japan, North America, Europe/Australia. I have purchased 3DS games from England and have had no trouble running them.

      • Oh god not Rift.

lol they are still PAL, they are UK websites so will work here…

What's PAL got to do with it? PAL is a TV standard, not a handheld!

      • pwnage lol

      • its a region code! PAL games are for UK and Australia

        Are you serious?

I'm pretty sure he was responding to ssxmal's:

"ummm arent the 3DS games region locked so it wont work for aussie 3DS's?"

In which case nubzy is absolutely right in providing the correct answer. Just like the xbox360, the 3DS is region locked and you can only play games from the same region. ie. All PAL region games (bought from Europe or Australia) will work on an AUS xboxb360/3DS, games bought from USA (NTSC-U), Japan (NTSC-J) etc. will not work on australian bought 360/3DS.

Tis better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

      • Technically, yes, it has nothing to do with differences in TV standards, since it's a handheld. However, since differing TV standards were the original reason for region-locking back in the day, and since the regions have remained largely the same for handhelds, the name has stuck. Plus, PAL is quicker to type than "Europe/Oceania region" :P

  • To anyone interested, there is another made-up 'Playstation Day' as well.
