  • Oof, my item just got delivered today T-T

    • +1

      What's in the welcome box?

      • +1

Oh, I meant a baby item I just bought, not the welcome box. Although for a $200worth box, I guess I can return and re-buy! Or maybe chat to Amazon first and see if they can just let me have the box instead of doing that haha.

Edit : looked at the requirements and I could add the wishlists after purchasing and still be eligible. Claiming now!

        • I’d be interested what’s in the box

        • +2

For a moment I thought your baby was delivered today.

          • +3

@Kikiriki: i hope not! Exactly 1 month to go and I need to work for as long as I can haha

            • +3

@MeesusEff: Just had to reply because… me too, exactly 1 month to go also!

              • @Loyalwings: Yay congrats! I'm still so nervous that I'm forgetting to buy some crucial things haha. Hope it doesn't come too early as my birthday is a few days before 😅

            • +1

@MeesusEff: Congratulations! Don't work too hard, you'll have plenty of it to come.

        • +2

How did you add after the purchase?

          • +1

@docpol: I bought an adapter which was the only thing in my baby wish list because of ShopBack empty cart policy. When I checked just now it acknowledged a purchase was made, but the step where I had to add 19 more things was unchecked. Once I added,it let me order a box for free 😀

          • @docpol: I'd also like to find out about that..

        • I just bought a bunch of baby stuff yesterday.
Can you please explain how you added things after purchase for me too?

I've added them to the baby wishlist
Then edited & marked them "already purchased"

Is that all there is to it?

          Thanks OP!

    • Dude it's a baby not an 'item'…

  • Interesting

  • First baby due in December so I set one up. Yet to find anything that doesn't qualify for the "baby wish list" (for the $59 spend) - so you don't have to just have baby things on your list.

    • LEGO here I come!

  • Your Amazon Baby Wishlist includes a discount on eligible items shipped and sold by Amazon AU in the Baby, Beauty, Pantry, Health, Household, and Personal Care, and Toys Departments However, certain baby items, like nappies and wipes, aren't eligible for the Completion Discount

I suspect there’s going to be plenty of baby registries.

    • +3

I don’t get how nappies and wipes aren’t eligible when it’s in the list of items I can choose to create the list. Seems contradictory

      • +1

        I agree with you completely.
Amazon just doesn’t want to give the 15% discount to items people have to buy.

      • I added nappies and wipes, and it counted towards my 20

    • Where's this from? I've had a pretty good read of the T's and C's and can't find it?
I'm guess the Completion Discount is the $59 you have to spend?

    • +2

I read a little closer, the Completion Discount is a whole other thing. You can still buy nappies and wipes as a part of your $59 purchase.

    • I just did nappies during prime then ordered the box … I hope they don’t cancel??

  • Does Welcome box contain an Echo Dot, so Amazon can track baby (ie future customer) from birth?

    • Nope. Echo show so they can at least watch movies to keep them occupied.

    • +1

I'm unable to reach that page even by going through FAQ just takes me to the welcome page. Any chance you could copy + paste here?

      • +1

        its not very copy/paste-able

its a lot of different baby type stuff… wipes/bottles/thermometer/creams/toothbrush/washing powder/dummies etc

        it also says:
The contents of the Welcome Box changes over time. Welcome Box customers may receive samples or full sizes of the following products (or different products). These products may or may not be in your Welcome Box

        • Ah fair enough thank you for that. So annoying that I cannot find the information on the website itself. Cheers!

@PeterPaul: Wow, this actually seems like great value. And full size products, not just samples. Great find!

              • @Smiley82: Careful. The first line does say Welcome Box customers may receive samples or full sizes of the following products (or different products). These products may or may not be in your Welcome Box.

            • @PeterPaul: Thanks was trying to work out if it would be worthwhile for my 9month old

            • @PeterPaul: WOW! This is A LOT of stuff!

        • +1

That list seems more like the new NSW baby stuff being given after birth.

I would say it more like less than $100 worth of stuff and almost all of the chinese stuff from Aliexpress

Edit: saw the new list after advice comment.

"Q: What types of items need to be added to my Baby Wishlist to be eligible?
A: Any product that has an “Add to Baby Wish List” button on the product information page is eligible to be added."

  • What do I even need?

    • +12

First you need to find a woman.

      • -4

Did you just assume my gender?

      • -1

a real human woman because imaginary wife and girlfriend don't count :D

  • +1

Thanks OP.Qualified & Ordered one.My 20 items were made up of Health Household ,Pantry & Beauty items & If you ordered $50+ on selected items you receive a further 25% discount. Also added a few overseas items from Amazon US which for Prime members gives free shipping at the moment with no minimum spend.Baby hamper is being delivered as a present to a relative next week .Thanks again .

  • Baby due next week. We've had boxes incoming from Amazon for months! And now a reward I don't get… until the gazillion more items I'm gonna have to order from Amazon over the next few weeks/months/years/decades.

  • +3

Thanks OP, baby due in 8 weeks! Got the hellobaby monitor for $129, wife very happy, thanks in advance for my rewards

  • Note that you need to receive the items before you can claim the $200 bonus pack. Stupid me added something that ships internationally so have to wait 7-10 days to claim Facepalm

    • +2

I think you just need to get the item marked as shipped - just done mine yesterday and I can claim the welcome box today when the order status changed to shipped.

      • I was able to claim mine straight after I placed my order yesterday.

        • Care to share how you claimed? Was there an option on your baby wish list to click??

          • @MoonlapseVertigo: I can't remember, but if I click on offers & benefits now it says your welcome box is already claimed & shows me tracking. So try clicking on offers & benefits.

            • +1

@Triple J: Great thank you both!

              • +1

@TheGoodPart: If you go to Account & Lists on top right you should see Baby Wishlist under Your Lists. Click on that and on the left you should see Redeem under Welcome Box. You don't need to receive them they just need to be shipped.

Also just thought I mention make sure that the order is $59+ excluding GST and shipping etc.

  • Thanks OP! Good timing as we are expecting one soon.

  • Cheers OP :)

Now that's done I'm off to make a babeh.

  • -2

Nice scam, i purchase over $59 from wishlist yesterday, and it said they run out of box. When they charged my card and go back to the page, it showing need to purchase 59 or over. It will never show you they run out of box until you purchase it.

    • +2

Pretty sure the box is still in stock: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07PY32KSC/ref=pe_2361882_28238…
Once your purchases have shipped, you can redeem the box and a $200 discount will come off the box in your cart.

      • Does the redeem option only come up when items are shipped? they already charged my card which is not the same experience when i purchase items from amazone, they only charge when its about to ship. On the side offer page still showing 0/59 dollars shipped.

        • Yes that’s right. After my order was shipped (I received an email notification), the option to redeem the box came up.

  • Thanks OP. Bought some wireless earphones for hubby yesterday via Amazon US for $64. As I’d added them to my baby list prior they shipped today so I was eligible to claim my baby box for free. Not bad at all!

  • So, I just got charged $200 for the box and the Amazon assistant chat person has no idea and asked me to wait until its shipped.

I already fulfilled all the requirements ($59 shipped) and 20 items on my wishlist.

When I went checkout there was -$200 promotion and the total was $0. But when I went to my orders - there was no promotion applied and when I checked my bank account $200 had been charged.

The Amazon assistant kept going on about the different terms and conditions about the baby welcome box and how I needed to buy have $59 shipped or bought 20 items from my wishlist (which I don't believe is correct).

This is the first time I got bad service from Amazon and many other times it has been great. I'm chatting to another person now to see if they can help.

    • The second person didn't have that much of a clue either.

But he cancelled the welcome box for me. And he said he did the refund. Now I have to wait 3 business days for the refund.

I'm just a little worried that they'll say they didn't charge me because it hadn't shipped, but they did charge me for it…. let's see.

And both Amazon assistants thought I had to purchase 20 items from the baby wishlist, which is not what it says in the FAQ. It says to add 20 items to the baby wishlist and purchase $59 (doesn't have to be one order either).

      • +1

Checking to see if this has also happened with the $200 charge. Anyone else experienced this??

        • +1

Nope. Mine in checkout came up with ‘use $200 store credit’ And was $0 total. On my invoice it says $200 gift card as payment.
I only bought one item for $64 and have over 20 items in my list. Once the item I bought was shipped it then said I was eligible to claim the box

        • +2

Nope, just checked my cards. Looking at the orders, it says $200 box but total $0

          ORDER PLACED
          20 June 2019
          TOTAL
          $0.00

          Amazon Baby Wishlist Welcome Box
Sold by: Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd
          $200.00

  • I bought one of the items on my wishlist (Lego) and that item hadn't shipped but I got charged $49 on my credit card for it.

But the claim now button was available (it also said $59 of $59 shipped) so I went to claim my box.

If that's the reason that the promotional discount didn't go through, that's just really dumb.

I'm just waiting for my $200 refund now. :(

    • I got my $200 back ( i think - the pending charge disappeared from my account) so hopefully that's the end of that.

It's always disconcerting (and a little bit stressful), having to explain stuff to online customer service but they think they're right, and the customer is the one trying to convince them their system made a mistake.

  • Anyone received box yet? Just curious, how long did it take to arrive once you ordered?

    • +4

Ordered Thursday night ,delivered to regional NSW this morning .Box was amazing by the way.

      • What was in it? I’m assuming a selection of products from the list?

        • +1

          Almost identical products from list.

      • +1

        great, thanks!

    • Mine arrived today (south coast NSW) and I ordered it on the weekend. Pretty impressed about the size and contents!

      • sweet, thanks!

      • Wow, that's awesome!

Doesn't look like $200 worth to me, but still excited for mine to arrive :D

      • Mine was almost identical. Great freebie if you were buying stuff anyway.

  • Does anyone know if buying Amazon gift cards are eligible for the baby Box? I know that it says any item you can add to the "add the baby wish list" with the button but I was just checking.

Edit: found it. "It also does not include purchases of Prime or other subscriptions or Gift Cards."

    • nup

  • Anyone else see on checkout the $250.00 promotional balance? Sounds odd as the box is only worth $200, so does this mean Amazon will apply this extra $50 credit for another item?

Edit: You can apply up to $250 credit if you order more than 1 of these boxes. So 1 is free, or 2 for $150 out of pocket.

    • +2

Yeah I noticed that as well, no way I am going to pay $150 for the box though. I tried a few other items but I don't think that $50 credit can be applied to anything else.

  • I have created the wish list of 21 items…paid 65+ dollars… items have been shipped an hour ago…but still cant find the redeem button,,, anyone have this issue? thanks

    • Have the $65+ worth of items purchased been added to your baby wishlist? Also do check that it's $59+ excluding GST and shipping.

      To redeem the box:

Via Account & Lists on top right you should see Baby Wishlist under Your Lists. Click on that and on the left you should see Redeem under Welcome Box.

      • finally got it… it was waiting for the item being shipped.. :)

  • Received ours this morning. Not sure if it's $200 worth but not bad. Fair few sample sized items in there so excluding those probably around $50 worth of stuff I would reckon.

    • +4

Just the bottles are worth around $50, plus the bib, dummies, nappies, wipes. Toothbrush, toothpaste, laundry pods and so on. So its Definitely more than $50 worth.

      • My bad then didn't think the bottles were that expensive :)

  • +4

Thanks OP received my first one. Wife very happy, wife’s friends all impressed, I look like a legend and it’s all because of you, thank you

  • Cheers OP :)

  • +1

Thanks OP. just had a baby so this was amazing. Comes with 50+ nappies, full pack of wipes, several baby bottles, beanie, bib, soppy cup valued at over $20. Only the bath products were travel sized which is perfect for the baby bag.

  • +7

Great to see the exceptional response to the Amazon Baby Wishlist so far :)

As a heads up - we are close to running out of stock. We are working hard to bring in another batch of boxes soon, but as it stands there may be a 1-2 week delay between fulfilling your Wishlist requirements and being able to redeem your Welcome Box.

    • Have you run out of stock yet? I've spent the $59+, added 20 items to my wish list and everything has been shipped, yet I can't see the redeem button, so just wondering if it's because they are currently out of stock, or some other reason?

      • We're now out of stock, and will be back in stock in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for your patience!

        • Is it ok to make purchases now and wait for baby box to come back in stock?

Edit: just reread your comment above and realised that you answered that

        • dbvan12 Is there any update on this? My wife missed out by half a day.

        • updates on ETA :(
