Was waiting for the drop of the price on this TV after missing previous eBay deals. No eBay stock in VideoPro or other stores at the moment.

Picked up one from Dandenong Warehouse (VIC) without any issues.

I bought this TV last month. Some retailers with no stock left as it's end of model clearance as new models came in June.
It's big. Very big.
Help,so i am looking at P7, P8, R7, they are in my budget, is the R7 worth the extra $, what are you getting between them that is different?
i have read the details on them and they seem to read very similar.
P7, P8 list Contrast ratio - Ultra Local Dimming? R7 doesnt,
P7, R7 list Backlighting type - Edge-lit, whats the P8, does it matter?
Thanks in advance if anyone can fill in the gaps, the more i look at them the more i am confused?
i am looking to replace two old plasma tvs and am hoping to upgrade in picture quality.
IMHO if it was $100-150 cheaper like one of the deals from the last month or two I'd pick a P7. At this price though, I'd expect you'd be able to buy the new R7 in a month or two.
The P8 might be a better buy at $1440, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra cash.
JB hi-fi on Elizabeth St in Melbourne has both on display in store.
As a note from personal experience, I'd rather give my money to a business that treats customers (much) better.
Contemplating between the 65 p7 or 75 p7, currently have a 47 lg lcd… 65 p7 is around $1k mark where as the 75 is $1695 at JB.. Anyone negotiated a better deal on 75? I do like the 65 p7 frame with the black glazing on the bottom front which gives it a premium feel whereas the 75 is all silver casing..
