Is it worth getting one now? I've heard some rumors that they will release hardware revisions for the Switch pretty soon.
I always wanted to play Nintendo's first party titles.
new switch would prob be 1080p bigger screen etc… maybe backwardscompatible? as there's still alot of quality switch titles announced/to come out…

even if the new one comes out - we'll still be playing the og switch/games are still going to be fun?Well personally I believe the new switch will be backwards compatible, otherwise it will not make sense, It probably will be a "Pro" model so it probably going to exist along side with the current one just like PS4 Pro and PS4. The thing is, you can always sell your OG Nintendo Switch then get the new one
Agree. I was tossing up about that as well but the new one would be more expensive and you won’t get that extra 6-12 months worth of extra enjoyment out of this one if you wait.

nintendo wants to stockpile enough before they go to market with details…Which is ultra sensible as big Nintendo fans are the main deal when it comes to buying 2-3 of the same console (Why? because this one's got Pikachu on it!) and why they do so damn well on accessories. Most of the big Switch youtubers have like 4-6 versions of each Nintendo console and the usual Nintendo fan will have a couple of versions. The marketplace will piss itself like an excited dog with preorders at first whiff of official information.

I honestly think so, the Mini/cheaper version is apparently in production right now so the new console so you'll be waiting until late this year to early next year.
I bought a Switch yesterday with BOTW and Smash, ans I'm loving it so far, the cheapest i've seen the console go, and I wanted to prepare for Pokemon and Animal Crossing
It really depends what you want. In my mind there are two reasons to wait.
(this is mine) is that you've got a good console at your telly - either xbone or ps4 - and you are seeking the successor to the 3ds, or
you're a speculator or not desperate for a telly console and you're keen to see what the new models offer/do to the pricepoint of the original model.
I have no need for a TV console and apparently the portability of the original Switch is 'fine' but it's still quite awkward overall. If the portable model is a Vita-killer with the whole Switch library available, a release price of 300-350 would give me exactly what I'm looking for (mostly Fire Emblem and indie games for train rides).
Imagine having access to the new Doom on a handheld.

They'll release the "PRO" model when sales are declining. I imagine "NEW" will be in the naming of successor…
My uncle works at Nintendo he told me that the new version will be called New 2DSwitch U Deluxe XL Pro.
