      like i said "bang for buck" if after 5 years after warranty both drives are still kicking then well they've served their time. but i know right now the $313 price tag of the intel is alot healthier for my wallet.

        That's not what HashBrown meant. The 660p is vastly constrained by its cache. It can drop down to hard drive speeds if taxed too highly and performance will drop significantly if it is >80% full.

          and if you aren't a regular user like me browsing ozbargain. im sure you know and understand the difference between "bang for your buck" to you actually require "top tier" and are looking to get a cheap price for it regardless of the cost in the end.

            I'm also not sure what you mean by "if you aren't a regular user like me browsing ozbargain", because that's all that I am. The 660p is not a good choice as it will slow down significantly when filled, compared to other SSD's, as well as throttle to hard drive speeds when taxed.
