  • BIG W Viano 55" UHD 4K LED LCD TV - TV55UHD4K
Definitely cheaper ($599 vs $372), but reviews are a little…polar.

    • Can't believe they still make Vivo's. I used to hate selling them to cheap customers at Dick Smith, they are really awful tv's.

      • Nobody ever "made" Vivo's. It is just an importer's badge for cheap Chinese boxes.
This is more likely to resemble other no-name TVs of today, than your DSE ones of 10 years ago.

        • It's the same brand though

          • @King Steuart: i.e. same importer. Brand means very little, and you assumed it has something to do with manufacture.
Hisense is a manufacturer, Viano and Vivo are not.

            • @bargaino: Ok. I just remember the email when I worked at Dick Smith that said "Vivo is now Viano!"

  • Bad sound, no smart function, bad vertical viewing angle.

    • TV inbuilt speakers are never good. Use a soundbar for better sound.

Also if you want smart features for Netflix, Youtube etc then use a media player such as Vodafone TV for example. That will always be better and more supported than what comes on a cheap Smart TV.

      • You take the risk that some sound bars do not work with external media players for Netflix etc. This has happened to many people.

  • +5

    Great for the bathroom

  • This or kogan.
No cheap 55 inch hisense anymore is there?

  • Fantastic price. Great find for anyone needing a spare/secondary TV. I grabbed a used AKAI 55" 4K TV for $180 but probably would have snapped this up otherwise
