ahh didn't know about that sadly, still decent deal!

        • -2

I agree… still vote worthy! $468 delivered with a decent game is a bargain in my books!

    • up to 12%, game console is 4.5% I think

The one x has lag and frame drops on quite a few games I had like Battlefield 1 and other fast paced games , it struggles as a 4k player and even died on me where I had to send it back to Microsoft For repairs and then once I got it back it still had frame drops in games and the 4k player in it still struggled to play 4k titles without freezing stuttering and crashing.

Yeah this is all false, move along people.

Very average deal.. big w/Microsoft eBay was $450 mid June, without having to wait for cashback

    • -2

So what? You could've got one for around $350 from Costco too, if you had a time machine

    • It's the cheapest available right now if someone wanted to buy one now… and only $18 more than the cheapest its ever been. I'm not counting the Costco offer because it'll never be that price again.

  • Have owned the x, no such issues as previous poster. It's a great system. I don't really game anymore so I sold it and went back to the s.

    • What does the S have that the X doesn't?

I think it's something to do with the player.

      • X can play 4k games, S can't.

They both play uhd movie discs the same.

Halo Masterchief Collection was redone in 4k. That's the reason I got the X initially.

    No deal

  • I find the xbox naming scheme hard to follow. Is this their top of the line version? The equivalent of the PS4 Pro?

    • +1

Yeah, its the flagship, and a decent bit more powerful than the PS4 Pro

      • Unfortunately no virtual reality out of the box on the Xbox like the PS4.

Still, I have so many digital games for the Xbox I can't see myself changing platforms anytime soon.

I think Microsoft has Holo Lens or whatever it is, but I don't think it's dedicated to games like the PS4.

Ps. I have never owned a PlayStation, so not a fan boy here.

Edit. Just saw a 1 Tb PS4 Pro with one game for $399 on Amazon https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/470553 that's what I call a deal!

That price is enough to make me want both now.

        • I’ve got both. It’s the dream combo if you can afford it.

          • @theguyrules: I can afford the console, it's buying all the games I already own on Xbox that will be expensive.

Then there is the decision going forward - which console to buy new games for.

Btw which console do you buy new games for? And how do you decide?

            • @BooYa: I only got my Xbox One X last week, so I was buying them for the PS4 Pro.

But now that I've got the X I'll buy for Xbox, especially cause I kept my old S as a bedroom console in case the wife is using the main TV!

Very average. What a big let down from Amazon, I haven't seen anything worth buying during this Prime day so far.

Was so hyped for this. Very disappointing.
