[eBay Plus] LG 86UM7600PTA 86" 4K Smart TV $3885 Delivered @ Appliance Central eBay

250
PINENUT

Best price I've seen for this TV. It's a new model so not many reviews but the next best price I could find was $4800 + delivery.

I saw this panel in person on the weekend at JB Hi-Fi. Considering it's not OLED and it's not LG's Super UHD, in my opinion it's actually very impressive for the price.

I considered picking it up, until I realised the box it comes in is longer than my trailer… $85 delivery suddenly seemed good value

      • Does it deliver into apartment ? or just ground floor.

There's a 1 meter wide 90 degrees corridor corner junction, not sure if able to pass through

  • Saw it at Costco. Upscale and colour is not as good as top range tv But acceptable. size does matter in tv world.

Hmm didn't think to check Costco what was their price out of interest?

  • Very impressed with service ordered this morning they are delivering this afternoon!

  • Can anyone volunteer an opinion on the quality of this panel (compared to other LCDs)?

I'm doing some research now but thought I'd ask too.

    • Read HSVPete's comment above

      • Thanks Pete, feedback helps heaps.

I'm thinking that if this panel is comparatively okay/mediocre compared to others, I'd probably hold off for the better quality one, but go down to 75" so price is roughly similar. For example, there is that Samsung 75" model that is often posted here on OzB for around $1700-$1800, which I thought was a great deal until I read up on the relatively okay (not great) quality, and decided I'd rather go for the Sony 75" one that I've seen here once or twice for $3200-$3300. The price difference is significant, but I don't mind if the quality is decidedly different.

I went from a 65”series 7 Samsung 4K led to this and to me it’s worth the money i mainly run Netflix and Stan.
The only issue is with poor camera work (unsteady) it seems to amplify the shake and makes you feel movement sick I find - didn’t seem to notice this on the 65”.
The operating system is awesome and the remote with pointer is easy and great to use.
Only issue I found was the stand was a bit flimsy but I wall mounted it anyway.

  • Have mine setup and running coming from a 70" LG that was 4 years old. For the size and price PQ is excellent 4k HDR is pretty amazing on it it's not OLED but I'm very happy agree with HSVPete stand is it's weak point almost to weak for its size but many fixes for that.

    • Does this screen suffer the same up/down flash light effect when bright objects are on screen? I have a 2016 75" 855T model which was their flagship LED with DV at the time. It suffers badly from this effect(think light halo but goes up and down), particularly when HDR/DV are set to their peak modes. If you drop them down the effect isnt as amplified.

Its very noticeable when yo have a black screen on and move the remote pointer around on screen or you are watching letter box movies where you can see the effect on the top and bottom bars.

Ive seen the same effect on subsequent years models but havent looked at this years models.
