Got my note 8 for free effectively with the jb deals wait for the note 10 to come out..

Why are notes so expensive still, the s10 is almost this price?
If you want a stylus then an s10 won't do. So the note9 is still the king and the price reflects that unfortunately
The big difference is the stylus of which they have much less sales compared to the S line. Note users are subsidizing the S series.
The Note 9 has long commanded a substantial premium over the S line (S10 5G excluded). It's also been rumoured that some die hard fans have been angered over the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack and micro-sd card in the soon to be released Note 10, thereby driving up demand for the Note 9.
Have to agree though. It's been a year and the Note 9 (AU stock) should be subject to heavier discounting, as has been the case in the US.
