      Didn't think LSD cells came that low! But at that price it looks perfect for low-drain devices like remote controls, clocks, and thermometers.

      eurrrghh, not sure I'd bother with that low capacity.
      It would get annoying changing them twice as frequently, or how long they stay at a usable voltage level too.

        Saw a single pack of shiny chrome-wrappered pack of AA's amongst all the non-shiny "current" design ones in a store one day. I was so tempted to buy it, but didn't in the end!

          My experience. Specifically on the shiny Eneloop wannabes. The standard green ones I found are not the stated capacity. Ladda are the best.

            @spy: ah ok. I didn't even bother looking at their glittery Eneloop wannabe line. It was like $1 right, probably for the same battery.
            All my old green with shiny-top-strip ones are decent. Not touching the current green ones though for the foreseeable future unless something changes or someone happens to test other ones.

      No comparison. Ikea's Laddas ones are the best of the budget ones. If you wanna do it once and do it right, you go for them. For low drain devices, OPs deals is perfect.
