That's the normal price on Amazon though?

I thought it was ~$20 more than this? Looks like similar deal posted about a month ago

    • +4

It was $388 right through Prime Day for both (along with most other retailers) and nobody has it lower than that at the moment. $379 is the best around (currently).

      • Prime Day deal is more expensive? 😵

        • +1

There was no deal on the switch sadly.

    Haha, don't make me laugh…..$388…

  • Average Amazon price and considerably more than many of their / ebay / EB's recent deals.

  • I swear mine was $325 from Amazon a while back. Why are prices not going down to that again?

The Switch lite was just announced, they probably don't want to cannibalise preorders by pricing the normal model similarly.

      • Yeah, I think you’re right. They’ll discount the lite soon enough and the <insert what it will be called now> OG model too.

    This isn't a deal.

I saw this post and thought.. finally they have come to their senses and are offering a good deal on the switch for Prime Day… oh the disappointment..

  • +9

Gotta neg this. It’s been this price at at least one physical store (Big W, now Target, HN there abouts) for months. Amazon would’ve deserved upvotes if they were interested in beating prices but couldn’t even do that during Prime Day sales. All they do is match physical stores which seem to be leading the way at the moment.

    • Spot on, not a deal

Yeah OP, I'm sorry too, at this stage this is basically RRP. Nothing against you and thank you for posting!

That's not a terrible price, anyone had experience with this seller? I got a few cheap games in the Prime Day sales hoping for a cheap deal on the console and I'm itching to play them

  • It was 379 before prime day, got bumped up to 388 then dropped again. This is the standard price for a switch so not really a deal.

  • According to Camel, the lowest price ever on Amazon was $359 and that was 7 months ago. The other thing to factor in is you get $15 back from Shopback at 4.5% rate which you don't get if you go through eBay. I went ahead with it as I also had $10 Amazon credit to use so all up it set me back $354 including Shopback credit. Decent deal.

    • I'm sure it was sold for $329 during last year's Prime Sale. Also the Cashback was 12% back then.

EB Games Ebay had them 22 June $339.15 using a 15% Promo code .

Sold out but some where convinced Prime Day was going to deliver the golden price :)

  • Just stop buying it at these insane prices.

It was $315-330 on sale multiple times A YEAR AGO.

It has many well known problems with the online accounts, $110 joycons not lasting, and others.

    Vote with your wallets.

    • I expect Amazon's Black Friday is when we will see it drop any lower which for me is too long of a wait for a potential saving of $20 or so. And for me it made much more sense than getting a Switch Lite which was only $60 cheaper. BTW this is my second Switch specifically bought for my kids so they stop nicking mine :)

  • Is it worth nearly double the price xb1s were last year?

    • That's not really a fair comparison, but on that note, are Xbox ones worth double the price of Xbox ones last year? No prime sales there either.

  • New switch released!

    • Yes. I wonder what that will do to the pricing of the current one.

  • Is battery life important enough to wait for the refreshed model?
