Anyone have any idea when the QC35II will be superseded?
And for that matter, when will the Sony WH-1000XM3 be replaced.
The 700's are due very soon… already released in the US

I doubt it will be this year. Bose have announced/released the newer 700 series headphones, but they don't replace the Qc35 series.

Frankly they look ugly IMHO.
From the reviews I've seen QC35 IIs seems to be better overall as well.
Reviews I've seen have qc35 as better value, but slightly inferior to the 700.
Regardless, they all still claim Sony to be the anc king at this price point

Reviews I've seen has put the 700 as better mic, slightly better bc3, and better high end sound (still bad middle range).
Qc35 seem to have better battery and comfort.
Same reviews usually claim Sony to have better software, and a more even sound with slightly higher bass, and much better battery, while having a horrible mic.
Though user reviews from OzBargain here seem to claim Sony had the edge on anc, online reviews usually go the other way.
I'd love to trust OzBargain, but it seems that almost every person who owns one or the other here seem to also have the other - which seems odd to me.
Me thinks a bit of fanboi could be mixed into all the reviews though.

Yup Sonys are still the king according to most head to head reviews.
If you want there now there is obviously a way. I like the new look 700s. Can believe people are still paying $300+ for the 35s with the 700s coming out. The price differential is USD$50 on the Bose site.

@Icecold5000: But from my experience (I've owned the last 5 QC models) when bose releases new models they will sell very close to full RRP. The QC35's have been enjoying significant wholesale discounts for some time now, which the 700s won't get any time soon.
@ash2000: It depends if you want the new NC technology or not. You may as well get the 25s for around $170 and get a wireless dongle saving maybe around $100. Same NC with wireless functionality. The 700s represent new NC technology which may be worth paying a premium for. You can't compare the NC on the 35s and 700s because they are different so you can't compare the prices in that way.

Have had both colours black I have now are nicer imo, very comfortable even with glasses on, swapping between iPad and iPhone is excellent. Can’t compare sound have only had Bose or AirPods for years.
