  • That’s pretty cool.

I remember using this thing back in 2002 and thinking how much better literally every other controller on the market was. Nothing has changed. 😏

  • That's an ugly controller for sure

    • +2

      But they sure are comfortable.

    • ever used one? it's appearance is the least of your worries.

      • Perfect for large hands though.

Loved this back in the day. My mates used to fight over the smaller replacements. Not me, original was great.

    • +1

      And it was literally indestructible

        You're literally using literally incorrectly.

        • +1

You literally have never used one then

          • @Jase_: I think you're taking the overused "old stuff was sturdy as heck, right??" Meme too far.

  • Seems very expensive for a corded controller, why didn't they update it and add Bluetooth?

    • +1

Microsoft doesn't allow third parties to be wireless. The cord is fairly long though.

      • The centre logo is an LCD screen that displays the original XBOX boot screen.

I'm aware but what does that have to do with what I said?

          • @Kozhutki: It is actually the same shape and design as the original Xbox Controller

            • @Ninternet: Do you know what happens when you look at an xbox 360?

              • @Kozhutki: This controller has a "black" and "white" button

                • @Ninternet: But you're not actually answering anything? Lol

                  • @kipjib: I thought this comment thread was just about listing features of the controller? My bad.

    • I'd rather pay more for wired than wireless.

I know this is the funnier one for them to point to and shit, but the controller S for the original Xbox deserves so much more love. If it had have been the one to get the re-release, I honestly would have considered it. I have had a terrible record with third party controllers, but I loved that control. The triggers were so damn good, and with the white and black buttons, perfect for the back compat OG Xbox games.

    Re-release the controller S, cowards.

PS. and don't charge an arm and a leg for it. Even if it came out tomorrow if it was 130, I wouldn't touch it. 50 or less. It's a corded third party controller, get your heads out of your asses.

    • But it has a screen!

      • So did the Dreamcast VMU and I can pickup a whole DC console for less than this sucker's RRP with little to no effort.

        • But it has a screen that plays the original Xbox startup animation!

@Ninternet: But can the screen be taken out and used on the go as a fun little Tamagotchi looking thing? Does it also double as a memory storage unit for your saves?

Jokes aside though, I bought a 2G smart watch with phone capabilities and MP3 playback and a camera and shit for 8 dollars around 2 years ago. If they wanna tell me that putting that little screen in the controller, that can only be used to show a logo and nothing else, is the reason the controller costs about what I'd pay for 2 day one AAA games, then they can (profanity) right off.

            • @TheDukeOfNukem: But can your watch
              Play Xbox games?

              • @Ninternet: One of my watches can play Wordament, Microsoft Solitaire Collection, Wordament Snap Attack, and Minecraft, earning achievements and gamerscore on my Xbox account…sooooo, I guess?

  • am i missing something here? why not just use an actual xbox one controller and plug in via usb cable. they can be had for much cheaper than this. or is the appeal the physical size of the controller.
