    I was a 20+ years Explorer socks wearer and was disappointed by the crap quality that these socks have become. Switched to Bamboo ETS and my feet thank me every single day :-)

      Even limiting to the bonds range in one shop, I get puzzled by "what's best". The blend & features change a lot.

      I'm still wearing pairs of holeproof Explorer & Kathmandu from 9 years ago. Can't kill them. Combined with quality boots, my feet are very comfortable 10hrs/day.

        Wool or wool blend are far superior for sweat, moisture wicking, keeping your feet cool in summer and keeping your feet warm in winter.

        Not really fussed on durability. I don't expect or care for 9 years use from something that costs < $10.

        I'm not a tradie but do a lot of hiking. You won't catch anyone serious wearing anything other than a wool blend.

          Thanks. Agreed. Just happened to last that long, not something I was looking for.

          Not sure what mine are. I do wonder if it's synthetics, or they need burning (or damp workboots)… As I get weird dry/dead skin blisters around the underside of my feet. Overall hygiene is very good,though.

          Off to Dr. Google.
