12% cashback from Shopback but possibly won't qualify as the coupon code isn't listed. It doesn't hurt to try though.

Cashback is not qualified for: Promo codes or voucher codes not approved by ShopBack

Would not recommend this at this price over a laptop and a gaming PC seperately. Also had issues with thermal throttling on a Lenovo Ideapad previously.

I wish laptop makers would stop this trend of having SSD + HDD in the same chassis.
Throw HDD out and put in larger battery. Also install decent size SSD and be done with it.

    • also 45Wh battery in 17 inch laptop is criminal. also 250nit (in 15 inch model) is not very bright. 300nit is good (17 inch).

That's like saying car manufacturers should stop sticking 4 cyl. engines in $25,000 cars and just use turbo v6's and such.

If a laptop is $1,200 with all these specs then you cant expect them to slap in a big a battery as you'd expect and a 1tb ssd just because it would be cool in your book…. where's the profit, son? Its a business, not a charity.

my current laptop bought for $1300 has 92wh battery in it, no spinning drive and 2 ssd's.

that's like saying yeah let's halt progress forever since we have some unsold crappy spinning drives in the warehouse.

@[Deactivated]: maybe you got lucky… congrats

if your stuff is so great then share it

            • @tonyjzx: I did, the deal was deleted because of low stock. $1299 for Dell Precision 3530 mobile workstation. I found 4 more happy owners for the other units and there may be 1 more available, need to check with the store. i5-8300H, 8gb ddr4-2666, 256gb ssd (can install a 2nd one), 92wh battery, 300nit colour accurate screen, Quadro P600 4gb NVIDIA card (equivalent of mx150).

I am just saying that it is possible to get powerful cpu, huge battery and bright accurate screen for this price.

              • @[Deactivated]: My precision lasted me 9 years before it started to play up. They’re extremely well built.

                Definitely not particularly luggable though.

                • @Manny Calavera: mine is 2.2kg just like this 15 inch Lenovo here.

  • need a x1 yoga or something on special.

whats the best 2 in 1 laptop out? i like the idea of a surface, but i like messing about with linux every now and then

  • Does anyone know why the X1E Gen 1 is no longer available on the Lenovo website? I was expecting it to drop in price with the release of Gen 2 but it looks like they've removed it completely. And has anyone else noticed that Lenovo's eBay store hasn't added any listings in months?

  • Don't forget 12% cashback today

  • also OP don't forget that with code LEGION10 one can get Legion Y530 for $1133
i5-8300H and 1050 Ti. also very decent. supports 2666 memory, and I like the design more than these L3XX models.

  • Looks like this is almost a regular sale price for this model. Was on sale previously until 25/7. Now again. On the 15" with upgrade to i7 and 16gb ram it's 1518. Is that also a good price for those specs?

  • Tried this laptop on Lenovo site

    @ 1279 getting

    Intel Core i5-9300H
    Windows 10 Home

    GeForce GTX 1650 4GBt
    50% off 3YR depot warranty.
