  • Any major advantage over us shows wise

    • There's a lot of different stuff in there.

Note that Getflix lifetime subscribers actually still can get US Netflix but only in a web browser.
Source: Getflix website and personal experience.

    • A wider catalogue, http://unogs.com/ but there is plenty in Australia for most people

    Don't give them your money.

Don't waste your money with them.

    • Can the neg voters provide alternatives? I was with Getflix for many years, until 2 months ago, when I decided not to renew. What else is out there and works well?

      • Morpheus TV :)

        • Thanks! Will check it out. Any further details / your experience with them would be great to know!

A lifetime discount on a yearly membership? Bahaha. Now I've heard everything.

  • That was going to be my question, how is it lifetime if only valid for 1 or 2 years?

How are the reviews, are they any good and does it include US Netflix or not. Contradictory language in the description

    • I’ve been using Getflix for 4 years+ but I did pick up old lifetime memberships when they were like $30 AU. The actual lifetime membership gives you about 25 years credit or something like that.

They are decent but they do have a limitations which I’ve noticed in more recent times. I predominantly use it with a Roku and US Netflix does work but it is pretty slow. Vudu with the Roku also no longer works well but it works fine on a web browser. Other than most other channels are fine: Amazon, Hulu etc work great, I don’t use BBC so I can’t verify that.

    • My Getflix includes US Netflix, but on my laptop only. But I haven't tried doing the whole router DNS thing as I am not too savvy.

It only lasts a year or two before they cut it off and tell you you need to buy another subscription. Do not do it

US Netflix does not work reliably. It's a hit or a miss.

I've got a lifetime membership and use it with Hulu. It works fine.

    • +1

Same, use the Smart DNS for Hulu mostly. I use the VPN which generally works fine albeit the New Zealand one seems to resolving to Singapore lately.

      Lifetime subscription for me expires Jun 16, 2046. I'll set a reminder…

  • I love my Getflix subscription … works with all the services I use (no … not Netflix) and the VPN is working fine for me for years.
People here still dislike that Netflix stopped working on the service (no longer reliable). But in my opinion it depends on your usecase.

This offer is a lifetime discount …. which is a bit different to a lifetime subscription. In the end you might pay the same as you never know how long a service will be around for.

I think this line "GetFlix cut off US Netflix from their lifetime subscription members" tell me everything i need to know, cant trust them.

It's quite litteraly as it sounds. Getflix decided one day to stop honouring thier lifetime subscriptions by removing the Netflix on devices feature. They tried to say that it was no longer possible because of Netflix, then offered that solution for everyone else except lifetime subscribers. They then tried to say that lifetime subscribers were on a different network. When I explained to them that an account is an account and purely administrative and has nothing to do with their network (I am a network engineer) they ignored my emails

WARNING! Getflix does not honour lifetime subscriptions. Had one for years and two years in they said I needed to start paying again and cut off my service.
    DO NOT BUY!

  • +2

Lifetime sub originally included Netflix so many bought it only for them to change the rules and screw over the lifetime customers. Whoever is saying the VPN is good must be really happy with low speed laggy often unavailable servers, I've tried them often at router level and are laughably bad. Avoid this trash company and subscribe to a quality VPN who supports Netflix and has many fast worldwide servers for your other requirements.

Just so you know, last night I tried to convert from my third party lifetime subscription to the 70% off offer that they emailed me.
I followed their instructions in the email, US Netflix changed from US9 to US101. Thought that was a good sign, but US Netflix still did not work (outside of PC browser). Then noticed under subscriptions that 24 months got added to my old lifetime subscription. Then I only had US9 available again. Had enough, went to bed, dog woke me up at dawn, checked Getflix account and now it says I have no subscription and my lifetime subscription ended last night.
Had online chat this morning and was told you can't upgrade from lifetime subscription to 24 month one and now I must create a new Getflix account with a new email address as the discount won't work with my existing account. Was told to send them my invoice and they will refund me. Waiting On refund.

      Update
After 24 hours and a couple of emails, my 3rd party lifetime sub has been upgraded to a 24 month sub with US Netflix working on all devices. No need to create a new account.
I have been with Getflix for over three years now. Was with them when you could access about 20 different Netflix regions. When Netflix cracked down, I stayed with Getflix because I use BBC iplayer, Pandora, cbc gem, amazon Prime video, NBA League pass under India (for a $20 sub, thanks ozbargin), US spotify, free working vpn, and US catch up TV apps. All that, and I have not even fully utilised Getflix.
I will admit that US and UK Amazon prime requires web browser to get the full catalogue.
For what it is worth, I use a htpc, Sony Android TV, and nvidia shield.
I would give them 8 out of 10, and by the way, three years ago everyone was saying they would only last a couple of years.
