There were 2 boxes hiding at the back for me… then I found a whole bunch more someone must have squirreled away a dozen products over : )

As I couldn't find any comments on the taste - To me they are nice (thank goodness). A pleasant, subtle orange flavour with a hint of classic vitamin C tablet aftertaste. Not at all like the VOOST orange variant, which I gave up on after a couple of weeks. They were too full on with a not great aftertaste.

I've always thought someone should make effervescent flavoured tablets minus the Vitamins. A cheap, fizzy drink on the go type of job… They are way too much to fabricate at home (for me anyway). At this price I suppose I can expose my body to some vitamins.

    • My dad has this stuff in a tin (like a small milo tin) that is effervescent, supposed to be used to calm an upset stomach. Forgot the name.. If you don't care for the vitamins you could just mix that with some Tang?

Probably Salvital. I have used it on and off for years. Tastes great, light lemony tang with a heap of fizz that gets a good burp. It can help mild stomach upset too.

      • Eno?

        • Similar. ENO comes in a jar, is more expensive and has a stronger almost slightly metallic taste.

      • Yeah. Salvital was always under the sink. There was another kind that was pelletized (it looked like white chicken feed). I used to eat those foamy little guys from the jar. I'm just hoping someone here with a home lab and a tablet press can sort out some raspberry/cola etc tabs. Then go and clean up on Shark Tank.

        • Salvital has 7.2 grams of sugar in a 9.6 gram serving.

The tropical flavour is also on sale for the same price. IMHO both flavours taste nice enough. Stocked up on half a dozen packs.

  • I bought 10 at on woolworths Sandy Bay

Has aspartame, is that really bad?

  • +1

Public concern over aspartame remains alive and well today. Scientific research hasn’t shown any consistent proof of harm, thereby leading to acceptance for everyday use.

Due to heavy criticism, many people have taken steps to avoid artificial sweeteners altogether. Still, the consumption of aspartame by people conscious about their sugar intake continues to soar.

When it comes to aspartame, your best bet — as with sugar and other sweeteners — is to consume it in limited amounts.
