Oppo Reno Z (8GB/128GB) $401.59 + $9.80 Delivery @ Sydney Mobiles eBay

370
POSTIE

Was a good deal last time it was available.

Looks like postage is $9.80 to most places in Australia.

I think it's a great deal given it includes a 1080p AMOLED display and the same 48mp main camera out of the full-fat Reno 10x Zoom.

Helio P90 seems to be roughly equivalent to Snapdragon 710.

Will OW price match an eBay coupon code? Absolute winner if so.

        Nope

      • This is a good price for an above midrange phone. Good for average user, browsing the internet and taking photos. Don't expect too much.

bought one yesterday. could not wait for the xiaomi mi 9t to come down in price.

I'm was in the same boat. I was also waiting for the xiaomi but couldn't wait. Picked up the Reno z for same price but with free delivery when last eBay codes came out. I upgraded from an iPhone 6s and I the best things about the Reno z is the 8gm ram and good battery life. Only problems I've had with the phone was drop outs when VOLTE was enabled. Disabled this and it's all good now.

  • I suggest LG G7 ThinQ or G8 ThinQ / OnePlus 6/6T/7 for a bit more budget, but you get a 2K screen instead of 1080p, and a lot better performance

these phones are much more expensive…

    • +2

u suggest LG????!!! how dare you?!

      • +6

my 2 phones before the oppo was a LG G4 which got the bootloop and then the G6 which i killed the sim holder which I then found was an LG design fault, so I have had enough of LG…

        • There are so many options for good and cheap phones.
          So why LG!

          • @[Deactivated]: Because $399 for the V30+ with 128GB and which was their flagship 2 years ago.

I also had issues with LG G4 phones (in fact nightmare issues) but so far so good for my V30+

I am NOT paying $2k for a damned phone.

    • I like the look of the OnePlus but they are too hard to get here

      • Ebay or China if u have Chinese frds

The missus has been thoroughly enjoying hers since the previous sale. Tempted, myself, but really don't want to give up removable storage; let alone have a smaller battery.

I couldn't wait and scored this about 1 week ago for $448 and absolutely love it.
For the money it's a cracker - will not disappoint.

  • Only thing that worries me about this phone is not having as many updates as say xiaomi

    • And custom ROM too.

I got one of these last week and was totally happy. Quick review: Great build qulaity, great screen (AOD, decent optical scanner & face id), great battery life and charge speed, great front and rear cameras (32mp and 48mp respectively) for the price (even a decent night mode), great speakers (stereo config also) and lastly the Color OS/skin is totally fine (clear, snappy enough and customizable AF!!!(capacitive buttons, gestures, lock screen quick actions ala OnePlus). For $499 there are other options but around the $400 mark its a red hot win.

and every thread here, B28 and NFC

  • +1

I'm waiting for mine to be delivered. Bought this because its an Aussie model so B28 is on it.

I know this is not a flagship model, i'm over handing over 1K plus for features I will never use. Will miss the extra processing power.

  • How is it compared to Pocophone?

    • Pocophone is lacking essential LTE bands for australia (despite what some chinadroid die-hards say about how necessary they are) and runs some pretty crap software (although can be fixed with a reflash). Reno Z is my choice for a better out-of-box experience.

Does it have separate extended memory slot or Hybrid dual sim?

        • Seriously mate, try a Google.

          • @xyron: Calm down tiger - not very clear as the different site reports differently on expandable storage.

            Any comments from the users?

  • I never used Oppo before. Been a big fan of Xiaomi mid range phones for few years now… How Oppo phones are in comparison to Xiaomi - specifically on user interface and battery life (after a year of usage) ?

  • LG v30+ >

  • What's the warranty like with these guys

  • New code, same price - PAPA20

    • Might be worth posting as a new deal!
