[VIC] Irwin 6pc Screwdriver Set $5 @ Bunnings Ringwood

850

Found this set at Bunnings Ringwood (vic) today, along with several other Irwin stock clear outs, but this was the standout for me. Possibly other stores.

Label said $5 down from $10, but retail would be quite a bit higher. (Amazon US is $35)
This is the set. Sorry didn’t grab a pic in store cos i’d lost a child.

Not so bad swapping a child for a good set of screwdrivers. You'll never get your child to fix anything.

    • They quite often stop you from having another child.

      • Now you tell me!

  • Great set. I know as I purchased reduced last year.

  • Could someone post a photo so we can price match?

    • They are already scanning $5 on the registers

    • Edited to include link to pic of the receipt. Not sure you’ll need it though.

      • Not meant to be, i guess ;)

Zoinks! You've taken a wrong turn.

      • The link to receipt doesn't work

        • Hmmm. Not for me either now. Not sure why, all too hard so removed the link.

  • Saw that "Irwin" clearance banner on the Bunnings site for a little while but on my last rummage didn't see anything Irwin on sale for $5

    are they magnetic tips?

    • You can always magnetize it yourself, but rubbing the tip on a magnet.

        Just the tip?

      • Good reminder of what I learnt in school! Magnetised the tips already, using scrapped laptop speaker magnets.

  • Are the tips too pointy? I have ozb's favourite stanley set and the Philips heads are too pointy to make much contact with the screw head. Making the small sizes a bit iffy.

can't you file the point slightly?

    • There's a #1, #2 and #3. Only the #3 will be too pointy for some screws, with the #1 being too big for most.

    • Check if the screw is Philips or pozidrive …..pozidrive is less tapered so also fits Philips bit Philips is more tapered so doesn't fit pozidrive.

    • If you're after a good screwdriver Vessel (japanese brand) is the way to go. They are made to the JIS specs and are really good for both JIS and Phillips screws.

  • Grabbed 3 at Lidcombe this morning. Seemed to be plenty left, but they're not out on display, but in boxes underneath the tools.

  • Has anyone found any in WA?

  • Can someone please post the SKU?

Thank you! No stock in ACT unfortunately.

        • Thanks saved my time

  • I picked up an aesthetically nice set of Craftright screwdrivers for 5 bucks the other day, but they arent on the site and the only place they were being sold was UK ebay for 55 bucks. Cant price then but they cant be that much, but actually they are quite good compared to the cheap Craftright set they have

  • Bunnings at Hoppers Crossing had about 8-10 pcs and some other Irwin Stuff for 5 bucks( coping saw, circular saw blades, retractable knives, bits). Also some some other bits for 3 bucks. That was around 8 45 pm today.

  • 4 @ Northland Preston.

    • Thomastown staff informed 17 at their store, but nowhere to be found! Probably an Ozbargainer has them in his trolley 😂
Got a heads up of the quantities at various stores! (might also not be completely accurate)
