    • Thanks for that info. Could I cast say sbs catch up etc from the net on my iPad or would I need to plug a chrome cast into it?

  • This TV or the Ffalcon one?

    • Ffalcon cheaper ($298) but no Smart TV function, probably biggest difference

      • Might get one for my virtual pinball project and see how it goes.

  • how these headphones would compare to the BT taotronics $50~ ones that are regularly posted on this site?

    • I’ve got the previous model and they do the job.

Don’t expect fantastic sound. Just a simple no fuss wireless solution.

    • Taotronics BH22 are fantastic. Comparable to Bose QC3. Only problem with sound leakage.
I am not sure if Aldi ones can match that. I suggest snag TT in one of their frequent sales.

why would you get G6 for almost $300 when you can order G7 Power from Motorola for just $350 with 5,000mA battery?

    • +1

Yeah not sure why Aldi peddling the outdated G6. Good phone but obviously so many more options with the newer G7.

    • +1

      I agree, I got a G7 plus recently for $360.

  • Moto G6 for $228.27 + $10.61 Delivery on Amazon, although strangely no warranty

    • Kogan one can be had for further 10% off with recent Kogan gift card purchase deal from woollies I think

I would recommend that anyone looking for a decent FHD 40" smart telly look at the TCL 40S6800FS. I had a look at one the other day and it has a proper Android TV leanback interface. I noticed that it had the channel 9 app on the main screen which surprised me. It also comes with a separate reduced button remote with Google Assistant voice.

    • thanks for the advice but it looks like the TCL is ~$170 more expansive.
