Have previously owned a Pelican and recently tried these. Very sturdy build - comparable to Pelican for fraction of the cost. I highly recommend.

    I used to use one of these (well, a Pelican actually) to carry my dslr. Then I bought a bigger dslr which didn't fit the way the old one did, and I stopped caring so much about bumps and scratches (it's a tool which needs to be used, not protected away in an annoying case)

        I never had 20k of gear. I sometimes packed my camera in the pelican case inside my suitecase, but mostly just carried it on. Now I just throw the camera into my carry on backpack.

  good price, I grabbed the 923 with foam, in grey colour a couple weeks back for 203.00 - I couldn't do the orange personally.
