On Whirlpool people have reported that they've managed to get Dell to pricematch this with delivery included.

Great price for an IPS screen.

I was able to get Dell to price match it, and included free delivery.

      • Dell wouldn't price match for me!

        • what? try another dell rep. see my post below. today I ordered 2 of these pricematched and the $129 dual monitor stand. the whole phone call wasn't even 5 minutes long.

        • I made a last minute decision to purchase on 30-June, called around 6:30pm mentioned a competitor was under cutting Dell in price on their own product. I gave the HT example of $222 and the sales rep straight away acknowledged the special and matched it with free delivery included.

I bought 2, took less then 5minutes on the phone.

  • It has been this price for quite some time. I believe there is a post about a month ago which still hasn't expired. Personally I'd say it's a dupe.

Anyway i'm using this monitor too.

    • Yeah

      I bought 3 @ $227 about two posts ago :)

      Good monitors.

  • $275 is what I paid 3 months ago.

Oh and the monitor is fantastic. My mate got one as well. Excellent for true colour representation in photography and the swivel feature is great for word docs and vertical lists.

Unless you are a FPS'er this is the best.

    • Does my FPS games alright…with the added benefit of richer colours in the game!

    Yep, dupe! http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/46294
Although it has been 22 days, so it doesn't hurt to remind people of this great deal.

Buyers beware that this model does not have HDMI input. Good price none the less.

    • its easy to connect with a HDMI to DVI cable.

  • I have one, but there's a fair amount of backlight bleeding in one of the corners.

  • So now to choose between:

    ST2420L 24" for $229 from Dell
U2311H 23" LCD Monitor for $222 from HT
Samsung SyncMaster BX2440 24" for $284 from HT
Dell Professional P2411H 24" from HT

    • Only one of those is an IPS monitor. Definitely go for the U2311H.

  • If you want to pickup a Dell monitor and have it invoiced before end of financial year this is your only choice.

Most Dell monitor uses DisplayPort which provide the same functionality as HDMI.
But it doesn't displace HDMI in high-definition consumer electronics devices.

I've even seen these Display port on laptops as well.
The monitor is great and well price.

  • Thanks for this mate! just ordered 2 of them price matched from dell with free upgrade to expedited delivery. also picked up the 2 arm fully adjustable lcd mount which was on special for $129. happy days :)

    • WOAH! That was expedited delivery alright - already here and set up on my desk - thank you Lily @ Dell :D

  • $55 to freight to NT, but still a bargain!

      Like my name, Crap!

      1. That's TN not IPS like this one dude. (see links below for hearty discussion as to what that means)
      2. You want to be comparing that against the 2 Dells below, in front of which that BenQ seems expensive .

      $159 - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/47906
      $165 - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/47843

        1. OK
        2. It's got in-built speakers and 2ms response time. Just saying..
        • Sorry I was man-struating. by crap I didn't mean crap monitor, it was more in reference to pricing eg shoppingexpress was doing the Benq GL2440HM for $187 delivered - and you could also pricematch the pickup price of $179 with officeworks for a further 5% off on that! as for your particular monitor its cheaper at ARC on staticice but depends on where you're located.

        • Built-in speakers…woo hoo!!

I think the built in USB ports on the U2311H are more useful, unless you like gut-less speakers….

  • Just got Dell to price match this for $222 inc delivery. Did it via "live chat" so wasn't to painfull a process. I've been tossing up between this and the P2411H for the last 24 hr's, hope I made the right choice?

Tried to get them to do better on price but wouldn't budge. Happy with this price though!

  • I also got Dell to price match, I couldn't hold out any longer!

  • FYI everyone, just goto their website and ask them to price match it… Deal still going strong through Dell. :D
