Smart Light Sale: 2pk Smart GU10 CCT $49.98, 2pk Smart RGB $53.98ea, 780lm Downlights $7.95 + Ship / Collect in QLD @ BDLT

30

Hey guys! We're back with an amazing deal on the Brilliant Smart Lighting range (plus some downlights)! As usual, none of the Brilliant Smart Lighting range require a hub, making it as easy as installing it and using it straight away (also for those of you interested, these use the Tuya protocol, and we've heard people being able to flash the range)

We had a lot of you like the smart bulbs, so we've got a pretty good deal on some smart GU10 bulbs in a CCT or RGB option. You can get a 2 pack of CCT GU10 bulbs for only $24.99 per bulb! Alternatively if you want an RGB option, you can get a 2 pack for only $26.99 per bulb! That said, we also have them individually, with the CCT bulbs for $26.10 per bulb or the RGB bulbs for $29.10 each.

Our most popular deal is also back and better than ever: we've got 8W downlights offering 780 lumens of light (3000k warm white) for only $7.95 per downlight! These guys have a 3 year warranty and a flex 'n' plug, making it super easy to install. If warm white isn't your cup of tea, we also have some 5000k cool white 8W downlights with 820 lumens for $10.85 each, also with a 3 year warranty and a flex 'n' plug.

Our last deal of the day is perfect if you've already got downlights and don't want to change them, but still want a smart system. We've spoken about the Jupiter before, which is a WiFi module that gets wired in line with your current downlights, and will let you control up to 100W of lights (which for most people is enough for a room) using your phone, Amazon Alexa or Google Home. This time though we have a new addition - it's a switch that's completely independent on power; stick it wherever you want and it can let you turn the lights on and off and dim your lights without the need for batteries or wiring to be done in the house! Since it only works with the Jupiter, we got a package deal with a Jupiter and 1 gang switch for only $92.49.

As usual, we've got free shipping to the East Coast (QLD, NSW, ACT and Vic) if you spend over $99, and $9.95 for shipping if you spend less.

We've done quite a bit of research on these deals, and as far as we know, we're currently the best priced on them at the moment, but if you've found a better deal somewhere else, just let us know and we'll see what we can do!

Lastly, we just wanted to thank the community for being so supportive - we want to keep making great deals for you guys, so if there's anything we can do to make the deals better, just let us know!

Until next time!

Hi, thanks for posting. I'm taking the opportunity that you're a rep for this question.
Smart lights are great and being able to control your lights remotely via voice or app is very handy, but they do not fully replace a light switch - light switches are very convenient in many cases. Like your bathroom light, if it's a busy family bathroom. You don't want to be talking to 'OK Google' or bringing up your phone every time someone is going to brush their teeth. Have you guys thought about a compatible REMOTE light switch to operate the smart light bulbs? Similar to the IKEA system (then you can just place sticky tape over the conventional switch), so anyone can operate the light remotely or with the switch.
    Thanks

      Hi superveggies!

That's a great question! You're absolutely right about the switch situation - even if you get smart lights, we still recommend having normal switches to control them, just in case it's 3AM and you forgot your phone on the way to the bathroom for example :-P.

One option is to stick with normal switches - they'll still be able to work with these smart lights, which is handy! The other option is to go with a smart switch if you don't want to change your lights to a smart system. We've got them all the way from a 1 gang version all the way to a 4 gang version, and they'll let you turn the lights on/off from your phone, Google Home/Amazon Alexa and manually as well, and they have a pretty sweet blue glow around them when they're on, which is always cool!

The last option is the Jupiter and Kinetic deal we have in the post. The Jupiter will let you control non smart lights using the app/voice etc, and the Kinetic switch is a switch that's completely wireless (and doesn't need any sort of power, even batteries) that talks to the Jupiter to turn the lights on/off or to dim them. Then you can stick it wherever you want, and control it easily!

If you have any other questions, please let us know :-)

Thanks! I'll have a look at them

        • No worries superveggies! If you have any other questions, just let us know! Also, we're currently waiting for the switches to come in, since they're pretty new, but they should be in soon - but if you have any questions about availability or stock, feel free to email or call us and we can help you out :-)

Thanks for the links to the switches. If I'm building a new house, would you recommend some zigbee connected wall switches to a hub, or these wifi switches instead? Which would be the most cost effective? I'm after some alexa connected switches basically, but trying to keep costs down.

Also, am I correct to assume these switches work as regular switches too, ie if wi-fi is down I can turn them on/off from the wall?

        • Hey schwinn. It depends on what you're after out of the switches - unfortunately the smart switches that I linked can't do dimming, but there are ways around it if you do want to. The good thing about these switches is that you can get some cheap downlights like what we have on offer, and then connect them up to get an Alexa powered smart system. In terms of cost, we can definitely look into getting the best pricing for these for you as well (just the deals we have at the moment don't have the switches because we haven't got them in just yet). Also, these don't require a hub, so you'll be saving a bit there too!

The best thing would be to send us a email at some point when you know how many things you're after and we can let you know what we can do for it :-)

If you have any other questions though in the meantime, just let us know
