      That's great, but…. Try finding a better price today, or for the past 12 months…
      The c470 price went UP when the C580 was introduced.
      Weird? yes
      Annoying? even more so
      Totally invalid negative vote? YES

      The closest I found to this price (and it's no longer available) was the Freshtel F470IP for $117 delivered after looking and waiting for months.. the F470 is a gimped version of the C470.

      The F470IP (and C470IP) is a superb VoIP cordless handset. Call quality is markedly improved compared to my Netgear and Cisco ATA's, plus it's cordless!

      I bought one from JB about 12 months ago, paid $129.
      they were about $195 or something stupid, just asked the assistant "could they do a better price as i had seem them on whirlpool discussions fror about $130"
      The guy just dropper the price to $129, i was very pleased…..
      Just gotta ask guys.

      I have been extremely pleased with the quality of calls etc, using pennytel.

    I think C470ip is still a bit pricey. we may wait for another few months for the new product line from gigaset.

      fair comment and thanks for the advice, but really its not the way we vote negative. In a few months our dollar coud have crashed. Point is this is the deal on hand now

    Just a comment. I bought a gigaset after having tried other cordless phones and it is the ducks guts!!

      Same here… We have had a range of cordless phones that were far from reliable and usable.
      We purchased a Gigaset a couple of months ago after doing some research and it is great.
      It's a shame more retailer don't carry them.
