230

Saw an ad on FB & it took me to this deal. Indonesian flavors started on 17th Aug finish on 31st. 10¢ IFC is only on 25th.

Char Kway Teow, here I come.

Taste The Flavours Of Indonesia At P'Nut Street Noodles This August

At P’Nut Street Noodles restaurants, we’re all about celebrating Southeast Asian cuisine and culture, and this month, Indonesia is the star. Kicking off from Indonesian Independence Day (August 17), we’ll be serving up special Indonesian dishes like Char Kway Teow (flat rice sheet noodles tossed with garlic-infused kecap manis), IFC (Indonesian Fried Chicken), Gado Gado Salad along with our classic Indonesian dishes like Nasi Goreng and Mee Goreng. This can all be washed down with $5 Bintangs – to remind you of your good times in Bali and Indonesia.

The best value event will be happening on Sunday, August 25th, when Indonesian Fried Chicken wings on offer for 10c between 12pm to 8pm when you purchase a $5 Bintang, $3.50 Drinho Asian Drink or $3.50 coconut water. The delicious, giant IFC wings are cage-free chicken seasoned with a blend of spices and coated with home-made satay and sambal sauce for a mix of nut and spice – Yum!

Ninja edit: According to mafmouf post below, it is indeed limited to 5 wings per drink purchase. Its kinda suck really.

Not here to argue but to share those yummy foods, its actually invented by the chinese. :)

Also its very popular in Indonesia. Not as the same level as Malay counterpart though.

    • Same with Pavlova is New zeleander…or is it?! :)

      • Please don't ruin everything I've ever known.

  • If you have ever tried Indonesian CKT then you won't say it is not the same level as Malay counterpart.

    • I am just trying to be nice. ;)

    • have you ever? where's your best experience of Indonesian CKT?

      • In Medan or Jakarta, there is no authentic Indonesian CKT in Australia.

        • -3

there's no CKT in Indonesia; at least that's not what it's called.

          • @tempura: Dude, either you never been to Indonesia or you don't know where to find them. Next you will say you can t find Nasi Lemak in Indonesia.

            • @ice666: but there's no nasi lemak in Indonesia….

              • @tempura: Ok, I will have to let you win this one otherwise I will have to spend my whole life here trying to enlighten you.
All I can say is go to Indonesia if you are a foodie.

                • @ice666: I like you and my intention here wasn't really to win an argument.

            • +1

@ice666: LOL, you are correct there's no CKT in Jakarta because its INDONESIA BRAH

Visited to Jakarta on my business trip last year, colleague took me to one of the best rice noodle place in….dang can't really remember the place something with magga st. Dang boy, that was the best FRIED KWETIAUW i ever tasted.

Why do you assume Indonesian eat CKT??

  • +1

My only question: is there a maximum of wings that can be ordered? I'd like to demolish at least 30.

    • Found it: "limit of 5 wings per drink purchase."

Where about? I was looking for that lil info.

  • what exactly the point of putting up that fat description whilst the deal is really only on 25 Aug? All of that fat chunk about gado gado or CKT or Nasi Goreng or Mi Goreng aren't deal. I sense sort of marketing happening here; is OP affiliated with this restaurant?

    • +4

Lol, the dude just copied and pasted the info straight from the direct link that details the deal. Just cus there isn't any tempura specials…

      • -2

the dude should be doing due diligence and why are you defending him?

      • Sadly, tempura is a Japanese cuisine. Sorry if this patron wasn't all too happy. We all love tempura too. Who knows, maybe this Thai restaurant would serves tempura theme one day.

Anyway, if this unhappy patron wants to complain you can direct your message to this rep instead. Hope this P'nut rep can reply you. :p

I wish I can score a free CKT or two for promoting this deal/business. P'nut Rep, please? :D

        • We all love tempura too

no, you don't; perhaps Japanese want to be? =p

Anyway, if this unhappy patron wants to complain you can direct your message to this rep instead. Hope this P'nut rep can reply you. :p

but the problem is with how you narrated it in ozb; it got zero to do with the store :p

          • @tempura: Seems like you have a beef with me or on how I post stuff or the way I eat my tempuras upsidedown.

Btw, nasi lemak = nasi uduk.

            • @Yummy: i don't do beef; everyone is my friend in ozb. what's the best nasi uduk in Jakarta ?

              • @tempura: Everyone claims their local nasi uduk the best. I said I don't have to go Jakarta for nasi uduk, I just go to Campsie if I need one.

      • come bro, punchbowl

  • Should put drink purchase required in title.

So minimum spend $3.50 or $5 to get $0.10 Indonesian Fried Chicken.

    • Bintang is one of the required drink to purchase. The rest are in the descriptions.

      • +1

To be honest I almost didn't click the link since I don't drink Bintang. The deal is even better with the cheaper drinks!

        • +1

          There, fixed. :)
