    2 months delivery…. really

    • when amazon give long estimates its could well be 3-4 months. its mote of a guess.
however if u hassle them after 2. months for no delivery you might get a $10 voucher.
but they dont charge you until it ships.
they arent like harvey norman where rhey take your money immediately and then never deliver and months down the track cant findf the order or says it tookong ago to refund.

      • Amazon just sent an email saying the expected dispatch has been updated to 27/08 so not bad!

  • You'd be better off with something like this:

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-home-12v-drill-driver-kit_…

Far more versatile and at least you'd have adjustable torque.

I have the Bosch screwdriver and rarely use it.

I have an AEG 12v kit for light duty stuff.

You'd be better off with something like this:

It really depends on what needs to be done. For light-duty screwing, a smaller, lighter driver like the Ixo means less strain on your hand. It's also a lot more compact.

I have drills/drivers in a whole range of sizes and I find that I use my 3.6V one the most as I undo screws more often than I drill holes.

      • There's definitely a place for the 3.6V drivers. Compact, light-weight, and the USB charging is convenient.

This 3.6V Ozito is an alternative.

Pros compared to the Bosch is that it comes with a little dock so it has a place to live and it's a bit cheaper at $30.

Cons: It doesn't have the right angle and offset options of the nicer Bosch.

I have this and the usual 18v ones. I use this for installing flatpacks as it's small and still have enough torque to tighten pretty much everything. Great screwdriver.

  • Just order it, exactly what I looking for at the moment. Thanks ops

    • Doh you took the last one :)

  • Any other reviews?
Can I adjust the setting/torque so it's safe for small electronic? And at the highest setting it is enough to install IKEA cabinet for example?

I was looking at Xiaomi but people said it's too weak.

    • Mine has no speed or torque control. Just forward and backwards. So when you pull the trigger, it just runs at full speed. I was disappointed by this and would say it isn't good for small electronics. It is ok for flatpacks.

(note: mine is an earlier version but I assume it is the same)

  • I literally just look at this early morning @$79 and wondering when it will be on sale again…bummer

    • Set an email alert on CamelCamelCamel for when it dips again, that's how I found out.

      • I will now, wasn't thinking it would be this popular

  • too late, thanks for posting.

  • Missed it.

But I guess it’s not much of an upgrade. None of my screwdrivers have cords anyway. The cords would get tangled around your wrist while screwing in the screws.

      Thanks, bought one.

Have a read, the Amazon description says max torque is 4.5N, the mitre says 3N….. Hmmm

        • I just needed it to assemble cheap IKEA cabinets and stuff this week.. Couldn't wait for Amazon to dispatch.

No idea, model numbers all seem to match.

I have the older model from like 5 years ago and it still works flawlessly so I'm not really interested in this deal.

It's 100x better than a regular old drill for the right use case, I use it for computer/laptop repairs, putting together furniture. It's not super powerful but it saves my wrists the 1000x turns for menial tasks and you won't accidentally break things because it's too strong. It's also super light so it's convenient to use, I don't use it often so I only charge it every other month.

For $50, it's a must buy IMO, very useful tool.

        • The Bosch mentions it as “Max. torque for soft/hard screw. applications” —> 3/4.5 Nm

    • Ok now I know when Amazon drops its price, that must be because of price matching with someone else.
Same goes with Nintendo 3ds game $9.95, same goes with this

      • Yup they do this with everything, most obvious is with the Switch. And it usually ends up cheaper with the cashback.

  • How is the bosch different to a cheap one (XU1 3.6V Li-Ion Cordless Screwdriver) from bunnings?

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/xu1-3-6v-li-ion-cordless-screwdr…

  • Previously had an earlier gen IXO but ever since getting the cheapie Worx one instead I ended up selling the IXO.
Massive difference (to me) having multiple bits in the unit ready to just easily switch to already in the unit.

    • This one? WORX WX255.1 SD Slide Driver 4V Li-ion Screw Driver with Screw Holder Attachment

      • Yep. Mine is older without the screw holder part but close enough.

        • Powerful enough to install IKEA cabinets, right?

          • @CyberMurning: Yeah, no troubles putting together anything I've bought from IKEA since. I mean that isn't too hard given most of it is pre-drilled. Used it recently to drive a couple of screws into chipboard to secure an oven (you can hear it slow down but it gets the job done).

  • Looks like they got more in stock, but I may have just purchased the last one.

  • There's more back in stock again at the same price

    • thanks, ordered.
