  • Officework at Queen St, Melbourne cbd won't match. They said Kogan is not an Australian store. And they can't price match their own store.

    • They said Kogan is not an Australian store.

      Show them this link…

"Kogan.com is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia."
"139 Gladstone Street, South Melbourne, VIC 3025"

      Or maybe this link too….

      ABN details
Entity name: KOGAN AUSTRALIA PTY LTD
ABN status: Active from 09 Aug 2011
      Entity type: Australian Private Company
Goods & Services Tax (GST): Registered from 09 Aug 2011

      • Good find. I will try to call the 1300 number tomorrow to PBG ad click and collect. Hopefully i can get it.

    • "All products we sell are international and genuine model and comes with original retail box an Australian adapter." I personally wouldn't match it.

    • Try going to the 107 Elizabeth store?

    • Funny, I couldn't get a price match at Elizabeth St so went to Bourke/Queen St and price matched with no issue (just have to wait 2 days for it to be ordered in and pick up).

      • Would you mind sharing the guy's name you spoke with? I was there 2 days ago and the person said no.

        • PM me and I'll give you the details of the time-waster to avoid at Elizabeth St and the person who served me at Bourke St.

Aside: the PITA at Elizabeth St took nearly 10 minutes looking between the Officeworks site and Kogan site. Said he wouldn't do it because it doesn't say "genuine Australian stock". Showed him OP's receipt and he said he couldn't match based on a receipt. But then, he wanted to hold onto my phone with the receipt on it to go and find out which staff member did the price match (to tell them not to do it again). Of course I wasn't having any of it, took my phone and walked out.

  • The good guy commercial was selling for $157 … great earbuds… probably worth waiting for another sale

  • Why is that some store price match this and some dont? And HQ num i can call to have a definite answer?

  • THanks OP. Was able to price matched and got it at $169

    • Great price. Which officework did you go to and also which online store did you use

      • Went to Officework Nerang in Gold Coast and I showed them kogan's price of $177

  • Sad to say they did not allow me at all. I went to officeworks at South Melbourne, Elizabeth St and Bourke St. All said about not identical warranty. I showed them about the new policy but they still said no.

    • +1

I also had this argument and was refused. The difference they explained to me is that the model is not identical. So while the warranty is different that shouldn't matter under the new policy, but the fact that international model has a slightly different model number does.

      • Model number is listed as SM-R170 on both, so might need someone extra persuasive to approve this…

That said, this is not from Kogan - it's a marketplace item.

  • Got it for $167.19 @ OW doncaster.
