Good prices on the coffee machines EM7000 $450 and EM7100 $500.
Both machines do not come with a grinder like the Breville BES870/878 but the twin thermoblock means that you can extract espresso shot and froth the milk at the same time.

    • Bought the EM5300 for $350. Is the 7100 worth the extra ?

      • Honestly I'm not sure.

I prefer the luxury of being able to froth the milk while extracting an espresso shot, so I do think that it is worth it. Sure I do need to fork out another $100-$150 for a grinder, but having a separate coffee machine and grinder also means that I have the option to upgrade to a dual boiler in the future. Plus if you have other family members who prefer to use coffee pods, EM7100 will be the ideal option.

That being said $350 for an all-in-one machine is a good price, especially if you are working with a tight budget.

      • Biggest complaints about the EM5300 is that the grinder is not good enough so it doesnt get the coffee fine enough if that is your preference. Also EM7000 series is dual boiler, so it can pull a shot and froth the milk at the same time

        • +3

          Dual thermoblock, not dual boiler.

            @bym: I stand corrected

            • @Qmar: This may matter to some. Not so much others.

      • Thanks guys!

      • Have been using a used EM7100 for the last year or so, making one long black and a latte after work everyday. Previously had the EM7000 and EM6910. All decent products by Sunbeam.

Havent had much issues with it except for the portafilter spout coming a bit loose/misaligned so had to put some plumbers tape on the tread.

Using mine with a used Breville Smart Grinder, works a treat. Upgraded the tamper as well and now feels much better. I did remove the anti-calc filter though, it was starting to look pretty yellow and I wasn't sure if it's doing anything.

      • I have had the 6900 (similar machine) for over 10 years and it has made 1000s of cups of coffee. I have a seperate burr grinder and have always been a bit weary of the built in grinders.

Coffee is excellent, with the occasioanl burn from tamping too hard or griding too fine. I am a snob. most people don't even taste it.

The milk frothing requires practice, but I can do microfoam by having the milk frother just the right level… this is probably my only complaint… a stronger frother. That however will take me to $2000/3000 machines.

I am very happy wiht his machine. replaced a few seals and a knob.

Check out the forums. very good reviews.

    • U need to press buy it and it will go on the cart it won’t allow u to open it but google the details

    • Error 504 when I'm trying to buy :(

try a different browser. I jumped into Edge & it worked.

    • Careful with that Paypal confirmation window, just realised I was charged 4 times.

      • Did you manage to cancel your other orders? Or was it just 1 order that got charged more than once

        • It was one order charged 4 times, I called, emailed and submitted their support webform and they STILL delivered all 4 and have yet to provide a refund or even tell me how to send them back. Not very pleased with them.

          • +1

@shiftyhobo: Yep same thing here except mine was 2 orders because the site timed out. Still waiting for a refund after they delivered all 4 items

            • @shev07: I raised a dispute with Paypal when I got their confirmation emails, just had them side in my favour and got my refund via PayPal, still have all 4 units and Sunbeam has been absolutely dragging their feet doing anything. I've had a half dozen emails and a few calls trying to get them to tell me how to return them but now that I have my money and their product I bet they'll move quickly.

              • @shiftyhobo: I've just done the same. Wonder how long before we hear from them this time

              • @shiftyhobo: Just got my dispute resolved in my favour but have no idea what to do with my spare items

  • wondering if we need a queue system to access a website after being posted in front page…

  • cheers, grabbed a hand mixer and the deep fryer

  • Thanks OP - been looking at upgrading to a Gamesaver for a while now, so finally pulled the trigger (Pardon the pun)

    • +1

I have one one of those and i'm very happy with it. I was going to check the price and I can't even get the page to load, lol

      • +1

        Thanks, that's good to hear.
I've got an older model foodsaver (VS7800 from memory), and I wasn't sure whether the 9000 would still be comparable given it can also function at 12v. I figured they offer a 60 satisfaction guarantee, so if it's not as good as my current one I can just return it.

Oh, and for the record, it was $349 - so I paid $186 inc delivery after discount. Cheapest I'd seen them in the past was about $250 - so a pretty good deal in my books.

Seems their servers aren't built for the kinda traffic an OzBargain post can generate… can't complete checkout for the 1 item i've got in the cart lol.

  • Not gonna neg because there might be some products that are seriously cheap but the products I saw are not the cheapest even with 50% off (like the PU800 is at 1200 on BingLee ebay - so with their standard 20% sales, come to $960).

  • Lol.. Sunbeam site has been ozbargained. lol

  • Thanks.

Bought the VS7850 and some bags!

    • Yeap every1 knows what that is !

Anyway saved $20 based on what I could find .

      • Foodsaver vacuum sealer.

I recently bought the [Anova] (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/480342) sous vide machine and was on the lookout for a vacuum sealer.

The cheapest it had been sold was at Costco for $199 and is currently on sale at Amazon for $239. With the 50% off, it worked out to $149.50 - an absolute steal!

  • Where do you enter the code?

    Bugger!!!

    Oz Bargained!

Disregard, on the 8th time it went through!

    • I managed to eventually complete Paypal payment, but the page on sunbeams end didn't seem to finish loading, so ended up reloading… and then i couldn't get the MySunbeam to actually send me the activation email, and i've nothing from Sunbeam, only a reciept from Paypal… so no clue if my order was actually processed @ Sunbeam

      • Same here. The paypal payment should go through as an order on their side though (at least when they match payments, they should see it), so I am not too worried. Just whether they neg on the deal.

        • same here. Money taken but nothing yet. We'll have to wait & see. Website well & truly ozbargained!

      • Slightly concerning… i've eventually got a heap of emails to activate, but once i did, no orders showing :/

      • +1

Same here, have a paypal debit confirmation, no order. Fingers crossed.

  • Payment deducted from PP, but no confirmation from SB

  • The electric wok comes out at $65.45 delivered for me. I'd buy if I didn't already have one - it's great when you only have an electric cooktop and want to do stir fry etc.

Edit - -worked it out, now have a multicooker on the way!

  • Anyone got confirmation email from sunbeam?

    • Instant confirmation but landed in my junk mail.

      • Cool.

  • Anyone having issues with the website (I was using Chrome), I used Microsoft Edge instead (New Internet Explorer with Win10) and no issues, quick and responsive website. Weird. Like everyone else, I had no confirmation, but got 2 paypal invoices. So just shot off an email. Their customer support will have a very busy friday.

Got email from paypal but nothing from sunbeam.

    • +1

      same here

      • Here too, didn't get any transaction number or anything. Wish I created an account so I could least track that it went through. Hmm

        • now I'm wondering if I should re-order, but then I run the risk of getting 2.

        • I just re-ordered but pre-registered. Same 504 error from paypal and no email from Sunbeam, but the order does show up in my order history. Looks like I need to cancel one tomorrow!

    • It will come later, but you have the order number in the bottom of paypal email, which start from POS

    • Same. Nothing in my junk mail either :(

  • +1

    • How did they check your order? When i called rep said he does not access and call back in the afternoon. I have paypal confirmation only.
