Fuji Xerox Colour LED Laser $97

70

Seems a cheap printer, not sure how long the initial toner lasts, specs say 1000 pages for black and 700 for colour:

1 x toner cartridge ( black ) - up to 1000 pages ISO/IEC 19798
1 x toner cartridge ( cyan ) - up to 700 pages ISO/IEC 19798
1 x toner cartridge ( magenta ) - up to 700 pages ISO/IEC 19798
1 x toner cartridge ( yellow ) - up to 700 pages ISO/IEC 19798

Reviews put the costs down as OK for its category!

• Don't bother getting an injet cartridges as it is cheaper to replace with this printer every few months.

• how much is the toner replacement cost for this model?

if it's $100 or more, then i will buy 2

• so you want it to be $100 or more? really.

• it's not that.

1. If toner is too dear, as indicated below, I will just use the printers as disposable
then eBay them off afterward as secondhand printer with no toner.

2. If toner is cheap, then I buy to keep.

• You are assuming the toner supplied are full cartridges not "starter" ones.

BTW, limited availability from HT and expensive $57 delivery to WA.

• is that the price for the whole set of all colors?
if it is then this is a great then I will buy 2 anyway.
1 for me, 1 as a gift :p

I think I will just call HT later when I have the chance.

• $74 for the black and $83 for each colour, looks like they are two times the capacity of the units supplied in the printer! Pricing is HT's.

• +1

So to refill the printer it's $74 + $83 + $83 + $83 = $323 + delivery
And to buy a new printer with 1/2 full cartridges = $97 + delivery

Talk about a throw away society.

Anyone found any "compatible" 3rd party cartridges?

• What exactly about it is LED? The same way that my iron or zazz "throwie" is LED?

• Uses a LED array instead of Laser to register the image onto the drum, less moving parts hence more reliable

• Don't about this one, but I really hate Xerox.
I bought 2 workcentre 3210 (after saw a deal post on ozbargain, $200 laser all in one), and it they are the worst I ever used. it constantly jammed, and keeps taking more pages from the tray, man have I tried different papers.
I bought them for the office which made me very embarrassed.
again, I dont know about this one.

• +1

Maybe you're using crap paper? If it sheds a lot of paper dust, that can cause paper jams.

I've got a C1190FS and it's been trouble free. Before that I had a C525A.

• keen price but look at the power consumption-consumes 285 watts printing and 66 watts standby! i point this out because electricity rates just went up big time on 1st july

• HT specs say "Power Consumption Operational 285 Watt Power Consumption Stand by / Sleep 66 Watt" are these the wrong specs for this model?

• HT are incorrect.

It's:
Printing: 285w
Standby: 66w (really more of a "cool down" mode after printing. Only lasts a couple of minutes)
Power save: 5w (ie what most people call standby - what the printer spends most of its life in, waiting for a print command.)

• We purchased a FX B&W laser/scanner recently and are very impressed with the build quality & performance :-)
It was $84 @ OW & HN btw..
This one is a bargain for a colour laser.

• We just got the aftermarket cartridges in store this week. $55 each or $199 per set of 4.
We think it is the one of the best price at the moment and the price may come down in the future.
