[eBay Plus] CyberPower 8 Way Outlet Surge Protector Power Board USB Charging $20 Delivered @ Shopping Express eBay

490

I was looking at the other deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/482105 however out of stock so found this one for $20 - still seems like a good price for those with ebay plus accounts

Listing says "Buy 6 Get 15% Off With Code PEACHY15. Ebay Plus Only." but I only need one …

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The CyberPower 8 Port Surge Protector + 2.4A USB Port CPSURGE08USB-ANZ is ideal for safeguarding your home theatre and IT equipment from damage caused by electrical surges.

The outlets with MOV technology and data line protection guard the surge suppressor and connected electronic equipment against power irregularities and lightning strikes, while EMI/RFI noise filtering reduces frequency interference, effectively improving picture and sound quality in audio/video systems.

I'll pay no more than $17!

  • Anyone else have issues with these powerboards sparking or making those sounds occasionally when something is loose? And sometimes it doesn't fit into the plugs perfectly?

    • judging from the compact design, seems to be a issue.

    • That's a loose connection, and they are tight connectors so they don't fall out.

I had a Jacksons board that always sparks. A Crest board that rattled. When I opened it I found plastic bits broken off next to metal connectors.

    • I have 2 from this seller bought in the past with this issue

sparking occurs for any powerboards if the connection is loose
or when you insert it without turning off the power switch first

though with this one master switch it is pretty useless for me
since i like the individual switches better..

    • sparking or making those sounds occasionally when something is loose

That's what happens when electricity arcs

  • Missed out, 2 were left. Quickly hit buy now, gone.
