Isn't there a sale in K-Mart with the 4GB Xbox and Kinect, plus 3 games for $299? That would be a better value in your case.

Good price… Anyone know why there is a star against works with any xbox 360? Are there limitations?
Dunno, but the only difference between the two Xbox's is that the new one has an extra power port on the back for Kinect. If you use the older Xbox, you'll need a separate outlet. It works on all xbox 360 afaik, so it might just be the powerpoint thing.

good price…. i bought this not too long ago when BigW had it for sale (and published here on OzBargain actually). i thought at $115 it was pretty good pricing, but at $99…. wow!
ok, had the day off so i drove around my area to see if anyone would price match…NOBODY was willing to do it!
EBgames Southland Vic, the guy said yes we have plenty of kinects in stock, when asked for the price match, magically he had none!
EBgames DFO Moorabbin, they couldn't do it but at least they did not flat out lie to me.

Yes it is you just need to plug it into the wall as well as the xbox, with the newer Slim you just need to plug it into the console

Just an update, called Game eastland and knox Vic, both said they don't have any stock and no one in vic did either. I ended up bringing up the K-mart website price promise (http://www.kmart.com.au/PricePromise.aspx) where they match any retailers advertised price. Called up K-mart Burwood VIC and explained the situation and even asked if GAME had to have stock for them to price match and she said NO. So off i went with my printed catalog and they happily price matched when i got there.
So for all interested and had no luck at game, just print a game catalog and head off to kmart

Competitor's product must be in stock in the required quantities in a retail outlet located in Australia.
Of course, if, for example, Game in NSW had one, then that would be OK. If no Game outlet in Australia had stock, the question is, what proof would K-mart want that the product is in stock? I doubt whether they would phone Game themselves, so being armed with a current catalogue should be enough in most situations.
Yeh i had this to fall back on too, as the eastland Game had told me a few vic country stores e.g wonthaggi,albury/wodonga had 1 so if they said no i was gonna say yeh just give them a call
