Well, I didn't receive a usb stick, so I doubt they will send an mp3 player. Plus they call you up and want to sell you overpriced Versign stuff.
Even I never got the USB stick :-(
And yes, I got a call from Versign marketing guys, and an email as well (If I recollect correctly)
Hey. I did get something. Some guy from Verisign was so keen to tell me about all their SSL stuff and they even called my home number! As I was at work so my wife picked up the call (and had no idea what they were talking about). The same guy then sent me a few follow up emails…
No, I didn't receive the USB key either.
Same happened here..some one called and left msg on my mail box..then send email but no usb key…

I vote it down because its been on before and like Scotty I got a call from verisign but no memory stick. thank heavens for putting the call thru to one of my voip numbers so it went to voicemail.

This deal is crap, I've done it a few times in the past, no mp3 no usb. Just lot of spam and a phone call. If they are so eager to get us to buy their certificate, maybe they should respect the responders instead.
Ugh, this sucks. I got a mail about a 1gig stick for another white paper and was just about to apply for it, then I remember I never got this mp3 player, only got a phone call. -_-
I normally do not rate any deal as negative, but this time, a thumbs down…
If they cannot honour their offer, who is going to participate in another deal?
If they only intended to offer it to people who are going to buy Verisign, they should mention it very clearly at the time of posting.
As they say, it is sent to first 200, but I am not sure they are counting straight- if you know what I mean ;-)
