Just saw this at Brand Smart Nunawading, there was about 15 left,
Had to double check the price as its almost too good to be true

The shop mainly sells homeware and gifts and they have a tiny xbox/PS/game section, so I dont know what the deal is for them with electronics

Such low price me thinks it could be second hand or refurbished,

I already havea pair when they were first released so didnt have time to go in and check

If you do want one, better call and check whether its new/refurbished/2ndhand

    For those who purchased, were these wrapped in plastic (original new should be wrapped in plastic).

    Also the box looks a little older compared to my box from Amazon (my production date May 2019) so perhaps these were older stocks. E.g. "Google Assistant" and "Alexa" is hard printed on my box vs the sticker on the picture above.

    Lol.. This was out of stock since yesterday.. Reserved the last one yesterday so didn't bother posting on OzBargain since it was all gone.. A friend told me about it as they bought them a week ago.
    They are damaged box stock..

                depending on condition of carton we open to check everything is inside.
                we provide a warranty in store which is explained to customers when they purchase:)

    I bought a pair three weeks ago and returned them today.

    The ANC is great but for mine the sound is poor, just couldn't get past that in the end.

      They are the best ANC headphones, not the best sounding headphones. This is the case with most ANC cans.

        I hope you guys EQ'd them before judging. Out of the box they didn't sound great for me either (too muddy/bassy), but after EQ'ing they've met my expectations nicely!

          @XeSSiv, yes I used the equalizer.

          My Shure 535s sound so much better it isn't funny, just couldn't get past that.

          Not to worry, gave them a go and they're not for me. I know I'm in the minority, all good.

          EQ only balances them, doesn't add soundstage or dynamics unfortunately.

          Luckily for most, they just want v shape and have no clue about soundstage or imaging etc. So xm3 sells really well

            @onlinepred: Yeah, also the EQ stops you from using LDAC or even aptX. Soundstage is largely limited with any closed back headphone anyways though.

              @Jasonissm: Yep these anc cans have the worst soundstage I've heard. Some BT cans have acceptable soundstage, but really you want open back for the best soundstage, but then they have weaknesses too haha

          Im sure Sony cares about the 3% audiophiles that recognise this stuff, but theyre happy to pay a few more hundred for that kind of quality anyway

            @cacique: Yep they make incredible headphones like sony mdr1a. I still have that pair at home. Like you said, most people couldn't care less about sound quality, hence why xm3, bose, airpods, and beats sell so well.

      If you aren't buying them for ANC then why even buy them?
      I have cans that I use at home and in comparison the XM3's aren't even in the same dimension for SQ but regardless, I couldn't live without my XM3's for travelling & commuting.

        I did buy them for ANC but I don't see the point in persevering if I don't like the sound quality, it's a fairly important component given I use them for music.
