      • Doesn't this pour out the milk first like the original Lattissima?

        • -1

I've got no idea. I don't touch DeLonghi

      • I don't know how to do that.

There are two buttons for milk with coffee: Cappucino or Latte.

The milk will come first, and then the coffee.

You can do coffee without milk, but I don't know if you can do milk without coffee, because there's no dedicated button for it. Unless you can cancel the shot of coffee, which would be an inelegant solution, but I don't know if you can do that.

I guess you can not put a pod in and just remove the cup before the shot of water, quickly replace it with an empty glass to collect the water. And then put your milky cup back in and press Lungo or Ristretto.

The Lat Touch gives you control over this. You can do milk without coffee.

They sell pods that are Lungo based and Ristretto based, but the buttons you have for coffee with milk are Espresso only. So you're not even getting the right amount of water.

    • Wow that's pretty tedious :(

  • Is this a good deal? It sure is, you won't find it for this price anywhere.

Should you buy it? Nah. The coffee these produce paired with the pods is woeful. My humble opinion of course.

  • +1

They should rename ebay to Crowbarplus! Bending all rules running from all laws. Who remembers the $20 google home that all got virtually sold back to the seller?
When google was displacing Yahoo as a search engine they had a slogan: Do No Evil! Yeah right?

  • +12

Set my pages up and was ready to rumble. But after deliberation with myself, have decided I don't need this.

You're welcome to the person that will get my unit. :)

    • +1

Thanks, I need it for my new home :)

      • Your new home drinks coffee?

        Must be wired.

  • +2

Alright it's nearly time for the first 100 batch. Good luck to everyone who's participating. :)
I'm sitting this one out as I bought a Essenza mini from Amazon recently. It's good enough for a single person household

    • That was easy to get

  • thanks, got one.

  • +1

    Got it - easy

  • damn that was fast

    • I know, right. Had it loaded in my cart and bang on 10am added the code. Hit checkout and gone. Haha. Will try again throughout the day.

    • +1

Mine did that too, but I clicked 'Pay now' again straight after and it went through ok :)

    • same, then was gone when i tried to checkout again. looks like the fastest 100 got it, luckily there are lots of other chances.

    • wow hit it immediatly and said "seller made some changes"

Keep pressing "confirm and pay". It eventually went through on my 3rd attempt.

    • +1

what concerns me about this is - what are the changes that were made?

did we just sign over the rights to our soul in the transaction?

      • Stock changes…..out of stock. No risk as you can cancel post-purchase anyway by calling ebay.

        • +1

yes but there is the far more important matter of my soul and what someone is doing with it

          • +2

@cynicalmike: You sold your soul when you signed up to ozBargain back in July.

  • +1

  • +1

Its gone already…. in like a few seconds

  • sold out in 2 min

    • under 2 mins? more like within 22 seconds.

    • +1

2 mins? Pfft. I had in cart and code accepted within 10 seconds. Hit submit and it was all gone.

  • Thanks OP. Managed to get one

  • +2

I have never bought a Nespresso (or similar) machine before but this review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pv8dm2IR3U0 put me off considering buying this. It doesn't seem like a good product even at this kind of price and considering its RRP.

  • +1

this is going to be fun to watch.

  • Ooh, I think it's going to be harder to get for future hours.

They aren't going to change the code. Which means they will restock on the hour, and you have to re-add it to cart, adding some extra steps.

For the first one, you could add it to cart early, have the code typed in and ready to enter, then complete transaction. Now you have to camp the item page, wait for it to restock and then add, then go to cart, then enter code, then go. Any lag in between steps will kill your chances.

When the clock struck 10:00:00, I submitted the code. It spun for several seconds before accepting the code, then when I clicked submit, there were none left.

I probably won't try again until mid afternoon. Hopefully everyone who wants it has one by then. I don't actually want this. Thought I'd get it as a backup for use when my Lat+ dies out of warranty.

  • Missed it damn kn the dot for 10am doing it on phone eBay app

    • +1

Trap for young players. You need to be on a desktop, FTTP a bonus.

      • At work and I'm not office worker. On the road

    • Get on a computer if you want better chance.

      • Thanks. Yeh wish I was home in front of a computer

  • Got one, first time from one of these sales… finally

    • did you really want it?

      • +2

Yes I did… i have a 9 year old delonghi le cube that just died. But thanks for asking.

        • +3

Wow! Rarely does "need" and actually acquiring one of these deals align! Well done.

  • +1

    DAMN BOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when will the next lot of 100 machines show up in stock? is it going to be at 11am sharp or before?

    • most likely before, but no one knows for sure

  • Someone bought one at 10:05? How is that possible?!

  • +1

It's joke again.. sold out within 30sec

  • "0 available / 101 sold "

    101 XDD

  • +3

I got one, didn't need it, but it has freed up my Friday, and for that, it's $89 well spent!

  • +1

I wasted a day on this shit last time. This is basically gambling with your time.

    • How did you waste a whole day? Apart from the banter on OzB (which you can choose to avoid), I don't see why you would be spending more than 5 minutes on this every hour.

      • +2

it stopped him from doing other things, like say going out or catching a movie.

You wouldn't go out for 55 minutes, come back for 5 minutes, then go out for another 55 minutes again would you?

He more or less was confined to his house for the day and couldn't do something that would take longer than an 55 minutes.

      • +2

I don't know about you but I can't just context-switch that efficiently. I'd be getting all hyped up gradually from nn:30, anxious at nn:58, then felt let down until about nn:15 after missing out. I didn't get anything useful done that day.

        • Lol. Fair enough. I guess it is the sort of thing where you can get really pumped about. Now to win that $150m next week…

  • If I buy anymore coffee machines, I'm going to have to open a coffee shop :)

    • Or a coffee machine shop

    • All G. No one would pay for the coffee that this thing makes

      • People pay for 7-11 coffee. Granted it is worth about $1 but still…

  • Didn't managed get one but sounds like eBay is listening with the code and listing ID released ahead of time so fair game. At least fairer than before.

  • +1

Why is there always a neg voted on these deals. Seriously, if you didn't get one chill. Its a game of luck, and by luck I mean good thinking & lightening fast internet speeds.

No need to neg an actual deal because you've missed out on this again. If you've got great internet speeds (I use work's hahah), it's pretty easy to get in on these deals. I was lucky buyer number 11 on this one. I don't know why I keep getting suckered into these deals..

  • +3

Purchase is eligible for the free 100 Coffee Pods Fathers Day promo, however, you'll need to wait for the machine as it requires the serial number.

    https://www.nespressopromotion.com.au/Fathersday2019/promoti…

The cheapest coffee pods from the Nespresso website at 71 cents each…..so thats $71 worth. Of course, no one in their right mind will be ordering from Nespresso after the promo.

  • +1

    Couple of things:
    1. Sold out within 13 seconds. 10:00:09 thru 10:00:22
    2. Payment by credit card is the way to go, have details input and select done, and then it’s just a matter of inputting PRESSO code and confirming.
    3. Same issue as some, first time code was accepted, but then after confirm/pay, seller had adjusted listing. Confirm/pay second time went thru….keep trying.

    • +2

Make sure PRESSO is copied to your clipboard so it is just a matter of pasting (ctrl+v / cmd+v)

    • Re point 2 - if you're already logged into Paypal (with one touch or whatever it's called), would there be much difference? Like would it take a moment longer to load as it still need to communicate with Paypal, thus putting you at risk of missing out?

      • +1

I tried previous deals (thru Paypal and logged in) no luck. It’s extra for sure, my confirm/pay had an immediate response (twice, second one being successful). When your talking 13 seconds, it must.

Be interested to see the split of Paypal v Credit Card purchases.

        • I got one by Paypal

  • +1

    Can't even pre-load the cart anymore :(

    • Mine is still in there from 10am, so for 11am I am just going to assume once the clock ticks over and it's restocked it will be fine. Will see if I need to refind my plan for 12pm.

      • did you work for you @tomsco?

        • Nope. At 11am it disappeared from cart (well when I hit submit, the cart errored out at least). New game plan for midday.

Although when I went back to the product page and hit BIN, the stupid extended warranty thing probably slowed me down as well. Annoying.

  • Oh wow, was able to get one. Even surprised myself when the loading took a while

    • did you preload cart?

      • +1

Yeh, preloaded because I missed out on the 10am one

  • wtf i was literally 5 seconds after seeing it in stock to sold out?

  • that was easy.. got one on first try.. no one buying?

  • this is ridiculous … how could they have gone in less than 12 seconds? (11am start)

    • As it's been for all these deals, the only way to get it is to preload everything

      • not true.. i refreshed the page, clicked buy it now, added code and confirmed, still managed to get one.

  • This Deal is selling out in seconds….
