      I got the same a couple of times and missed the deal. I think the trick is to click on "Confirm and Pay" button again ASAP. I got mine this way for this round.

    Edit: for those of you who missed out here's the trick to it

    Step 1: At 3PM click "Buy now" and enter coupon code, set up your address, payment etc.

    Step 2: click "Purchase" it will say the seller doesn't have the quantity you ordered.

    Step 3: Don't leave the purchase page or click anything else.

    Step 4: At 4PM click purchase again. You will have to click purchase twice. The first time it will tell you the seller has changed the listing (this is them adding stock), then second time it should go through.

    As others have said, add it to your cart, go to checkout, apply the code and then wait. Stay on that checkout page until the following hour. All you have to do is click Buy, and it goes through. Thats the trick. There is absolutely not enough time to add the item to your cart, check out, apply the code and hit buy before its out of stock again.

      When the item is out of stock (like it's now) you can't add it to cart, let alone apply the code. Well, unless you mean to add it to cart in the next hour and wait for the following hour to complete the transaction, as someone else mentioned below.

        Yep that is exactly what I mean, you can add it to the cart and checkout during the 20-30secs while its available. But you wont be able to make it to the end of the process before its out of stock. So I added it to cart and applied the code at 1:00pm and completed the sale at 2:00pm.

        at 4pm, add to cart, add payment details, enter code, click buy …. it will be sold out by then but the page goes back to the payment page - do not refresh

        at 5pm, about 10 seconds into it, click buy and you should be one of the 100!

          It finishes at 4pm so if you don't have it in the cart already from 3pm you are wasting your time.

    After trying 4 times, finally got it. What worked for me was that I made it as far as checkout on the previous go (1pm) and it stayed on that page. Once it hit 2pm I clicked on commit and pay and got it.

    Hope that helps for anyone that's on the checkout page.

    Those who are adding on the hour and then waiting for the next hr to purchase do you even attempt to apply the code the first time? I tried, got an error about the item then it disappeared from my cart so I can’t apply the strategy that’s been described above. I’ve only got one more chance if I only add and don’t attempt to buy at 3pm.

        The Bing Lee invoice does not show Ebay plus free shipping discounts. If you go to your PayPal transaction, it does show both the promo and Ebay plus discount for a total of $89.

    I suspect what people considered as "luck" here is just how good is your internet connection. The most important is the network latency. I got it early using office super fast commercial NBN service.

      Yep taking the luck factor out of it. Skipping the commerical NBN and setting up my own ISP so there is virtually zero latency, it's going to cost me millions but at the end of the day it will be worth it so I can get a pod machine.

      eBay time and your time are probably not the same. Also the magnetic field shifting might be affecting things, like your GPS and general sense of direction.
