10% off Accor Plus Membership - $355 (Save $40) @ The Champagne Mile

90

Until 18 September, you can receive 10% off new Accor Plus memberships when you sign up with our exclusive link (T&Cs apply). The price you'll pay when you sign up via our discounted rate is $355 - a saving of $40.

What is Accor Plus?

Accor Plus is a paid loyalty program that operates at over 800 hotels in Asia Pacific, including many high quality properties in Australia. The key benefits are a complimentary hotel night each year, up to 50% dining discount and an instant fast track to Le Club AccorHotels silver status. While the membership fee may seem significant, there are a number of ways to extract maximum value.

Get a free night worth up to $400 or more each year

The Stay Plus benefit offers members one complimentary night every year at over 800 hotels - including many 5-star, high end properties. If you plan ahead, it's entirely possible to fully offset the cost of the membership fee. Check out my post which highlights some of the luxurious properties which can offer the free night benefit at a saving of more than $400:

Our list of 5-star hotels which can score you $400 or more in value for your free night

Subject to availability, this includes hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto during cherry blossom season in 2020, and Saturday night in Sydney at the highly regarded Sofitel Darling Harbour.

Up to 50% off your dining bill at over 1100 restaurants

Accor Plus members receive 50% off the food portion of their bill when dining as a party of two, 33% as a party of 3 and 25% as a party of four. You don't need to be staying at the hotel to access this benefit, so the savings can add up over the course of the year. This discount is available at participating Accor hotels restaurants within the Asia Pacific (including many in Australia). There are a small number of exclusions, which can be viewed on the Accor Plus website.

Fast track to Le Club Silver status

Silver members enjoy a welcome drink voucher for up to two guests and late checkout (subject to availability) at Le Club participating Accor properties around the world (including the newly opened Raffles Singapore - I received a voucher for two complimentary Singapore Slings at the Long Bar when I stayed last month!). Clearly, these benefits aren't as worthwhile as free breakfast or an upgrade, but they could still save you money when you travel. Silver status is usually awarded after 10 nights stay in Accor hotels or 800 EUR in eligible expenses.

Up to 50% off accommodation with Red Hot Rooms

Accor Plus provides exclusive member rates, often for stays within the next few weeks. It's not uncommon to see rates at high quality properties in Sydney and Melbourne slashed to 50% off. This is a benefit I personally use many times a year, particularly when travelling interstate at short notice.

For more information about Accor Plus, you can read our comprehensive membership overview here. To sign up for the special discounted rate, click the link from within our post (you can then select the $355 promotional rate as a drop down on the registration page). This offer ends on 18 September.

Disclosure: Accor Plus has sponsored The Champagne Mile to prepare content in support of Accor Plus. We do not receive compensation for sign ups. I am personally an independently paid-up member of Accor Plus, and it is my hotel loyalty program of choice.

  • Thank you OP.

Please tell me if I join up today, will I get a free complementary stay any hotel near the "MARINA BAY SANDS" in November 20~23?

thanks. all I see is sofitel hotels.

    • +2

Hi Hongas, you receive one complimentary 'Stay Plus' night with this membership, and I've taken a look for you for the night of 20 November. Right now, I’m seeing complimentary nights at 9 Singapore properties, including the Sofitel So and the two Swissotels, one of which is offering an alternative cash rate of $408. There’s nothing right in Marina Bay Sands, however the Sofitel So (which has a comparative cash rate of $373 AUD for 20th) and the Swissotel Stamford ($408 cash rate for the same night) are 1.5 kms and 1.9 kms away respectively. Both would see you offset the cost of the membership fee simply by redeeming the one free night. Taxis are cheap and the MRT system can efficiently get you around quickly. Hope that helps.

        In other words, no!

        • +2

I guess that depends how close you consider 1.5 kms to be :)

      • Thank you so much for looking that up , I appreciated that.

        • No problems. By the way, my sentence above should state that the Swissotel Stamford has a $408 cash rate (not $480 - I'm typing on the run) - however the comment has been replied to, so I unfortunately can't edit it. Will see if the mods can assist. EDIT: mods have corrected comment at my request.

  • Is there an annual fee to maintain the membership?

    • Hi, yes, you will need to pay the annual fee each year. You can choose to cancel your membership at any time.

Haha just got off the phone with Accor trying to sell me this, told her I'd want to do a bit more research before signing up. Which translates to, come see what OzB has to say :P

  • I remember there are two free nights
    Now only one?

    • I believe Accor Plus Australia has always included 1 free night.

      • Yeah can vouch for this. If I remember other countries got two and membership was cheaper.

        • I believe Singapore Accor Program offers two night but slightly more expensive.

  • Yeah it is a annual membership.
I am a member, and I like it.
Yeah you have to look around for stay-plus rooms.
Best value is if it is just 2 of you and you eat at the buffet or restaurant, it is 50% off.
for example buffet brekky at olympic park novotel, if 37 for 2 people.

I consider the free night pays for the membership & the rest is a bonus.
50% off meals in Asia Pacific is great value - you don't even have to be staying in the hotel (we use it for Dinner before going to a show in the city, for example). Also if you are travelling & it is usually one of the cheapest places to have breakfast.
Membership also gives you a welcome drink & an additional 10% off all bookings (even sale prices) & often I find I get upgraded too.

  • Hi OP - similar to post above, are there complementary nights at Singapore City Sofitel on the either 30 or 31st October claimable if I sign up today?

    • Unfortunately not. I'm seeing the Swissotel Merchant Court as the only 5-star option available for both nights, but none of the Sofitels.

      • Thanks for confirming :)

  • +1

Hey OP, someone mentioned about you can organise a group deal which is even more cheaper than this rate. Can u pls confirm? Cheers.

    • Hi there, we're not aware of any available group deals unfortunately. You would need to contact Accor Plus directly, they might be able to assist.

  • How does the silver fast track work?

    • Hi voteoften, you receive automatic le club silver status with Accor Plus. If you already have an existing classic member number, you can link it to your new membership, otherwise one will be assigned to you. You'll receive your silver Accor Plus membership card in the post with your welcome pack.

  • Got this with my amex platinum.

ACtually pretty good value if you use it properly > i.e. use the free night on a $250+/night place, eat at the resturant to save 50% (with 2 ppl), free welcome drink (included whisky and spirits which was neat, unlike my whisky which was on rocks)

    Not bad value

  • Hi OP, do you mind checking the availability of the 'Stay Plus' night for the dates below? I'm going to Japan during cherry blossom season next April so want to be sure I can actually use the complimentary night before signing up.

Kyoto Yura Hotel MGallery: Btw 8-10 April
    Osaka Swissotel: Btw 12-14 April
Tokyo Pullman or Mercure: Btw 14-16 April

    Many thanks!

    • +1

Hi there. Right now the Kyoto Yura has Stay Plus available for a Classic Room on both 8th and 9th April with a supplement of $35 (cash rate is $474, so the saving is $439). Swissotel Nankai Osaka has a Swiss Advantage Queen room avail on both 12 and 13 April with a supplement of $40 (cash rate is $414, a saving of $374). Tokyo Pullman Tamachi has the Stay Plus available for both nights for no fee (a saving of $413) and Mercure Ginza has it available for the 15th only (a saving of $273). Enjoy your trip!

      • Cool thanks so much. Will definitely sign up. Just another quick question - If I booked and then need to cancel/change the dates, is there any change/cancellation fees and can I reuse the Stay Plus for another new booking?

        • +1

Yes, the Stay Plus is fully refundable, which means you are able to cancel it with no penalty up to one day before your stay if your plans change. Provided you cancel up to 24 hours in advance, the Stay Plus will reappear in your account and can then be used to book a stay somewhere else.

        • We stayed at both the Tokyo Pullman Tamachi and the Mercure Ginza during cherry blossom season this year.
My advice is to stay at the Pullman Tamachi and avoid the Mercure. The class of the room was like night and day. Beautiful plush king size bed and heaps of room space at the Pullman vs double bed and dated decore at the Mercure. Plus the Pullman is connected by a walkway to the train station.

          Cheers.

  • Suncorp benefits has 10% accor hotels physical giftcard, is that a good savings? or is credit card point worth more?

    • +1

10% off Accor hotels giftcards can certainly represent good value, and occasionally it comes up at Woolworths, too. That said, these gift cards are separate to Accor Plus, and you won't be able to use them with in conjunction with our sign up offer. I don't quite follow your credit card points query, but happy to help if you can clarify.

    • I presume if you joined Accor Plus you could still use the giftcards to pay for your bookings (so effectively getting 10% off the Accor Plus price, but you would miss out on any cashbacks - eg Shopback has 6% on Accor).

      • Gaz1, my understanding is that Accor giftcards can't be used to book special online rates like Red Hot Rooms. Possibly, you can do so buy contacting the hotel. I'll look into this further.

  • Hmm. Just tried mobile and desktop browsers and the search function for dining continually gives "No results to display, please refine your search."
Pretty sure you'd have 50% dining opportunities in Cairns, Townsville and Noosa or, am I incorrect?

  • Accor Plus is a great product and I cannot fault it. I joined up in May this year and it’s been really great as I have been consistently using the benefits here and in Asia Pacific.

As with everything in life you need to shop around. I personally found it cheaper to get the same membership with identical benefits via Accor Plus in Indonesia.

    • I've heard the same applies with Fiji and Sri Lanka. Do you need an address in that country to apply?

      • Yes you do need an Indonesian address. But that is only if you want the physical card and the physical Indonesian only benefit certificates. I mostly use the digital Accor Plus card through the app apart from the time that my battery died in my phone and I used the physical card.

However if you find a nice enough Accor Plus Indonesia representative they can send the physical card and certificates to the hotel (I.e. somewhere in Bali) that you will be holidaying at Or for an additional fee they might FedEx it to Australia.

        • Thx Booger. I'll look into this!

          • @Lunarboogie: Sure thing. If you run into trouble and need assistance feel free to PM me.

  • OP, I know this deal is expired already, but would you mind checking the availability of the 'Stay Plus' night in Osaka between 26 - 27 Oct 19? TIA!
