    • You aren't allowed to put the OW pricebreat price or even mention it in the title.

      • Don't be so quick to neg stumo, he's got a point. It's not exactly a crime or a rule I've heard of but nobody incorporates the after officeworks' price guarantee in the title.

I guess it's because the original price should be bargain worthy, it shouldn't take the extra 5% to seem like a bargain.

  • Yeah that's a pretty good deal :)

    Next cheapest on Staticice.com.au, $99.

I can vouch for PCCG, one of the best online retailers I've dealt with.

    • PCCG is hands down one of the best online stores around.

    • Only 1 stock left.

      • you better get it before someone else does

Don't bother I bought it like 3 hours ago, and have been in contact with HT about it. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Hopefully I get it, will find out tomorrow.

        • Yes, I ordered one, too. But shipping was quite expensive. ($14)

Its not available for shipping, it said so on the website, but it still allowed it to go through. I ordered for pickup, since its only like 15 minutes away.

        • Well, our last HT store (Osborne Park, WA) closed the door a couple month ago.
So, just give it a try.

        • Can I have it?

        • Western Australia - Osborne Park
Harris Technology Osbourne Park has merged with sister company Officeworks, to provide your business with a one-stop-shop for all your business needs.

ALTHOUGH I honestly doubt youll get SFA service. Although HT staff have been clueless with me anyway so perhaps not much difference (not that I didnt like them, but they didn't know their tech).

Ok so I'm curious now… WTF is with all the neg votes on my above comments? One or two sure, you always get those, but I don't get what the neg fest is all about.

        • I think the negs are due to you buying the last one in stock! nuf said!

        • +1

Ahh ok, I just couldn't work it out, I do enjoy a good neg-fest. I thought I was doing them a favor by saying not to bother going through the whole order process, especially also choosing shipping option.

Anyway just so you guys know, they couldn't find that one I bought, so they upgraded me to the new USB3 version 1.5TB for $78. Neg away lol.

The good news for you guys is that they may find it again at some point in the future and list it again.

        • Gee guys, fighting over harddrives? Tsk tsk. =)

    • http://www.ht.com.au/cart.hts actually thats $184 well it is now anyway

    • I put an order in for the $78 1.5TB drive before 7pm yesterday.

Got a "item unavailable" email at 8:48am today :(

Thank you for spotting the bargain though.

  • Is this brand/item reliable and long lasting?

How does it compare to Samsung and Western Digital in terms of reliability?

    • Its pretty darn good, but just like any other hardrive if you dont drop it or slam it down on desk's it should last a while!

Also dont leave it pluged in with the hard disk spinning 24/7.

    • well considering samsung and WD have the worse reps in the HDD market i would say very well…lol

      • What planet have you been living on? For a long time, Seagate have been heading for the toilet. You only need to google 7200.11 for a decision. Safer to use a handgrenade, than a Seagate HDD. Brands, models, sizes all vary results. But Seagate shouldn't be, and can't be, trusted.

        • The 3.5" drives are not the best! no
          BUT!
The 2.5" Seagates are rock solid options.
I've had Failed WD, Samsung, Toshiba, Fitjitsu 2.5" drives but yet to have a 2.5" Seagate fail
Ive had a few 3.5" seagates fail :)

    • it has a short life like samsung and western digital.

  • Isn't the other one
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/48372 a better deal? After including the postage, it's better in-term of $/GB compare to this one. Plus, there is a chance that you can score a USB3 adapter as well - which is around $20.

  • Has anybody bought one? Does it work well?

  • I brought the 750GB seagate portable one from Wow for $69 including postage a few days ago

    • +1

      where did you take it?

  • Does it fit in a PS3 (slim)?

  • anyone know the drive inside?

  • Compared to BigW $58 dollars for a Samsung 640G portable (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/48762), this is 9% more expensive.

    $58/640G=$0.090625/G
    $74/740G=$0.098666/G

    Any comments about the quality.
