From what I can tell, retailers are able to begin shipping Switch Lite preorders from tomorrow (Wednesday). Even though the T&C’s on the coupon for this deal state that dispatch will commence 20/09, I’d be surprised if The Gamesmen don’t start processing and shipping orders from tomorrow if they have the stock.

There were more Grey versions available compared to the other colours.
Every hour there were 100 Grey versions, 30 Yellow versions and 30 Turquoise versions.
They expected grey to be the most desired colour but I think they got that wrong.

Certainly was the right month to use a 30 day eBay Plus trial… amazed that there's still stock!
There's still stock even now because the saving is nowhere near worthy of being an hourly replenished deal like the coffee machine from last week or the $99 air pods.
The hourly structure only artificially drummed up demand in it from people thinking if they aren't fast they won't be able to get one. You can see that it worked if you read the comments on the first page. People are cynical about their chances of even getting one. But I took one look at that price and I knew it wouldn't sell out. If it was $89 or $99 that would be a different story.
It's a good price to be sure, but good prices are common here. It's not an impulse buy.
It's 20% under the closest cheapest price available, so I'd say it's a pretty decent deal.

People who thought this thing would sell out in seconds and they'd have no chance clearly overestimated the demand.
It's a decent price. But hourly replenished deals are reserved for crazy prices, not decent.
@lostn: Hey I agree on the hourly format, that was overkill and IMHO these hourly replenished sales are causing more grief than joy for customers.

Odyssey is $59 at Amazon right now. Usually about $64.
Decided not to get one, but I think this time it was a good deal. The Grey was available without having to go crazy just at the top of the hour, and Yellow was still available at 11:30PM last night. I didn't really try but I might have been half interested in Turquoise. In the end, I would be more keen if there was a similar discount on the updated Switch, but for Lite fans there should've been no complaints.
Honestly I don't think we'll see this price for the Lite for a long time. It's well below the US RRP after factoring in exchange rates and taxes. New Switch model will probably be $340-360 during sales.

Still unsure whether or not I want it or if I should sell it for 20-$30 more, but Link's Awakening is out tomorrow and Luigi's Mansion 3 is out next month. It's hard to pass up Nintendo exclusives.
I'm also unsure if I want it, and the pricing, quality, and ethics of Switch actually disgust me. But, at $229, versus the "on special 2019" price of $440…. it's a decent deal to me. I'll keep it for the low number of exclusives, and most seem to be able to be played handheld.
Wonder how much ebgames will give for a trade in?. Thinking if its a decent price could stack with 10% off ebay gift cards for a big saving on a proper 2019 switch console.
